North Highland Steel Apartments

Nice access to the belt line. But we have had safety issues with homeless and drug addicts who come in from up the street. They say there is police living onsite for security, it turned out “onsite” meant nearby in a different complex. They will not release their information either for emergencies (example: fire dept unable to disarm complex-wide alarm going for over 2 hours until after 4 a.m.) We got a note about security being added. The only thing we ever saw was a security sedan parked by Barcelona restaurant until midnight on weekends, then they would leave. Look up the ownership. It is run by a corporation that has several complexes across the city. They mandate rental insurance, but if you have something stolen off your patio, they won’t give you the security footage for your insurance claim. The staff will cite “policy” against showing or releasing video. I cannot find it in written leases, rules, or policy I had to sign (if you respond correct me with the clause given to residents, pasted in this reply). They used to push affiliate referral fees. We never received a referral fee credit for helping a friend get setup here right after we moved in, even after follow up the emails went unanswered. We never got our deposit back either. They had our email and communicated with us directly. The company raised our rent almost 15% one year without making improvements, it’s a cash cow they put it to investor dividends or a rainy day fund when they get sued and insurance won’t cover it. Edit: Privacy policy around releasing footage of someone stealing our own things? We pay for that footage! They are our things we pay you to entrust to SECURE. We all know Atlanta PD does not follow up on theft cases here under $1k. Not once did a detective follow up on our patio theft or car break ins. Your office doesn’t flinch when we tell them, as though it comes with the territory and we should’ve known what we signed up for. Either you provide footage with at the time of the report or it goes to the bottom of the pile. Every insurance company is trying to disqualify the claim & you add red tape? A random adjuster can see who stole our things but we cannot? That response underscores there is zero security protocol & monitoring of thieves, other than car break-ins for retail.

I truly believe that North Highland Steel is the place to be. If I wasn’t currently locked into a lease I would STRICTLY sign a lease because of DYLAN!!! He is so informative and driven. I love this property and I think he is a light at this property.

I have lived at North Highland Steel for a little over a year now. I genuinely enjoy my time here as well as my apartment. The price I pay for my space is beyond amazing. Dylan in the front office, is the best manager I have experienced in all the properties I’ve lived at. And Jacque, the property manager, is so outgoing and very empathetic towards all of our resident issues. I love North Island Steele and I would recommend it to anybody that I know.

I have nothing but good things to say about my time touring North Highland Steel. From the lovely management to the upkeep of this property, North Highland Steel is amazing. Dylan answered every question I had while also giving me so much information about the property.
