I just want to take a moment to highlight how reliable and helpful the maintenance workers are. In particular, Jose has helped me on more than one occasion. He helped fix my towel rack and he even followed up on it 3 days later to make sure it was still good. He also offered and helped me moving a heavy tv upstairs when i didn’t ask or book an appointment with maintenance. I hope Jose is very appreciated for what he contributes to this neighborhood.

We almost didn’t write this review, but after everything that happened, we felt future residents deserved to know our experience. Before signing our lease, we spent a lot of time reading the Google reviews. Most of the highly rated reviews focused on the tour and leasing experience. We wish we had found more reviews from people who had actually lived here after move-in, because that would have completely changed our decision. We spent two full days moving into our third-floor apartment, expecting it to be our home for the next year. That changed on the very first night. The AC made loud noise and noticeable vibration throughout the night. Every time we were about to fall asleep, it woke us up again. The water heater also made a constant hissing sound after every shower. We slept only two or three hours that first night and woke up exhausted, mentally drained, and unable to function normally. We immediately submitted maintenance requests. Even though Maintenance came, the HVAC issue was never resolved. Before giving up, we tried everything we could. We bought sleep earplugs, which helped a little but never let us sleep through the night. After wearing them for several nights, our ears became sore. We also tried turning the AC off completely at night. That got rid of the noise, but the apartment became hot and uncomfortable. With the hottest months of the Georgia summer still ahead, that simply wasn’t a realistic way to live. Beyond this, we also had to stay in hotels so we could get enough sleep to continue working. We even kept our sleep records and hotel receipts because we couldn’t believe this had become our daily life. Throughout the entire process, we stayed in contact with both the property management team and the regional manager. We request permanently fix the HVAC, or release us from the lease if it couldn’t be fixed. The AC issue remained unresolved. Then our maintenance requests were marked as “Suspended” while the problem still existed. That was the moment we realized solving the problem was no longer the priority. After exhausting every option we could think of, we exercised our tenant rights by sending them a notice and moved out. Shortly afterward, we received nearly $5,000 in early termination and insufficient notice charges. The most frustrating part wasn’t moving twice or the money. It was how quickly our excitement turned into disappointment. We signed this lease excited to start a new chapter here, and just a few weeks later, we were packing everything up again. If you’re considering Pointe Grand North Athens, don’t judge it only by the tour. Find more comments from other platforms. Read reviews from people who have actually lived there after move-in. We genuinely hope no one else has to go through what we did.

If you are attracted by the positive reviews, Just scrolling down a little bit and you will find that most of the glowing reviews are highly suspicious of fake reviews posted by their employees. We moved in expecting a new and comfortable apartment, but the first night was shocking. Whenever the HVAC system was running, almost everything in the unit started making noise. The doors rattled, the floor vibrated, the mechanical/utility room made a loud roaring sound, and the air vent produced a metallic tapping/clanking noise. It did not feel like a solid new apartment at all. It felt more like a quickly built cardboard box. Oh I forgot to mention that this unit was built just a few months ago and the walls are already peeling down. On the morning of our move-in day, they were still rushing to repaint the walls, and we literally moved in with wet walls. The walls are extremely thin. When the neighbor was talking on the phone in their living room, I could hear the conversation clearly from inside my unit. The bedroom HVAC noise was often over 60 dB and at times reached around 70 dB. Trying to sleep felt like having a helicopter running above my head. This severely affected my sleep and made the bedroom difficult to use for its basic purpose. When I reported the issue to management, they kept saying the AC was cooling properly. That completely missed the point. My complaint was not about whether the air conditioner could cool the room. My complaint was about the excessive noise, vibration, rattling, and disturbance during normal use. It felt like they either did not understand the issue or simply did not want to acknowledge it. For anyone considering this property, be very careful with these fast-built “new” apartment communities. They may look nice from the outside and may have decent amenities, but the actual construction quality and materials inside can be very poor. The walls are thin, the HVAC system is noisy, and the appliances feel like the cheapest options possible. For example, the oven in our unit did not even have proper timer or preheat functions. You basically need to buy a separate oven thermometer, place it inside, and sit nearby watching it, as if you traveled back 100 years. Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing rental experiences I have had. A place can look new in photos, but that does not mean it is well built, quiet, or livable. If you care about sleep, quiet, and basic construction quality, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before signing a lease here.

From the moment I walked into Pointe Grand North Athens, the energy felt warm and welcoming. Maeve was extremely thorough, accommodating, and provided amazing customer service throughout the tour. She truly brought back that old-school hospitality that has been missing lately. I was especially impressed by the beautiful pool area, the gym, the business center, and even how clean and fresh the dog spa smelled. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location being minutes from shopping is a huge plus. There’s truly no need to second-guess this community. Wonderful experience from start to finish!
