The Addison Skyway Marina

What really made us regret living here was the unprofessional experience we had with Tia. In December, we received a noise complaint with no details. The barking complaint may have been valid, but the allegation of “loud, heavy stomping during designated quiet hours” was impossible based on our schedules. I immediately asked for the dates and times of the complaints so I could understand and address the issue, but after multiple emails over nearly two weeks, I never got an answer. I eventually had to go to the leasing office in person while I had the flu. Tia was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen when I explained why the heavy stomping allegation couldn’t have happened. Instead of answering my questions or providing any clarification, I was simply told that if it happened again we could discuss it, while also being warned that another complaint could result in a lease violation. From that point until our lease ended in April, we felt like we had to walk on eggshells in our own apartment because we were worried that another complaint we couldn’t even verify could put our lease at risk. There were also ongoing maintenance issues. The elevator was broken for over two weeks (and frequently out of service), our dryer was broken from December 7 to January 12, and management repeatedly entered apartments for inspections with only a 9 a.m.–5 p.m. weekday window, requiring pets to be crated or removed with no ability to schedule a specific time. There was also a car break-in during our lease, the fire alarms went off far too often, and the dog park was consistently dirty. For the price we paid, we expected much better. The maintenance issues were frustrating, but the poor communication, lack of professionalism, and dismissive treatment of my concerns made living here a horrible experience. We were genuinely relieved when our lease ended.

I lived at Addison Skyway Marina for a period of time, and overall I had a positive experience. The community is modern, clean, and well-maintained. The grounds are attractive, the amenities are in good condition, and the location is convenient with easy access to nearby shopping, restaurants, and major roads. I always felt that the property itself was kept up well, and the maintenance team generally did a good job addressing issues. That said, I do think the apartments are overpriced for what you get, especially when compared with other communities in the area. Rent and additional fees can add up quickly, so it’s worth comparing your options before signing a lease. My biggest criticism is the management. While I had some positive interactions, there were also times when members of the management team came across as dismissive or unnecessarily rude, which made resolving questions or concerns more frustrating than it should have been. Good customer service is just as important as having a nice property, and I think that’s an area that could be improved. Overall, Addison Skyway Marina is a clean, attractive community in a great location, and it may be a good fit if those features are your top priorities. Just be prepared for higher-than-average costs and understand that your experience with management may vary.

Property is in a great location, I love the amenities that they offer like Fetch and the management is always responsive.

These are absolutely top-notch luxury apartments I was dating a girl who lived in one. She had a third floor unit. Addison was as hot as they come, and she wouldn’t settle for anything less than an absolute luxury apartment.
