Grand Oaks Apartments

They get a 2 star rating because Maria was polite. However, the property is in very dire shape. I went to inquire about an apartment and noticed all the roof tops of each building were practically torn off and obviously not because a renovation. Seems that there's hardly any shingles left and ripped underlayment sheets which seem to keep the elements from penatrating through. Surely there must be leaks throughout. I also noticed a worker digging a trench across another building and it appeared to be related to drain issues. In addition to that, a young woman, who entered the office ahead of me, voiced her concerns about water entering through a closed window and the reply to her was it will be Monday before someone could even look at it. I suspect there might be a host of many more problems as well. Is all this related to the 2024 hurricanes? Like I said, the office lady was very nice. Wish the apartments were. By the way, there were no apartments available for me to view the interior and dangerous steps to climb to get into the leasing office. Not handicap friendly.

Management at this office is unprofessional. Maria consistently refuses to address necessary repairs after several months of service reports over the same issues & if you dare to get upset she will hang up the phone; the apartments are in poor condition with aging and damaged interiors. Maintenance is non-existent, and there is a mandatory fee for internet when theres better apartments that make that package optional. Charging $1,700 a month for a unit valued at $700 is unacceptable. This is not a fair price for the quality provided."

The trash off the roof sucks. They are in litigation for the roofing... but sorry it socks for a property.
