This apartment complex offers a convenient location and a generally quiet atmosphere, with many residents appreciating the helpfulness and friendliness of the office staff and maintenance team, especially for quick repairs. However, numerous concerns have been raised regarding inconsistent communication from management, frequent and often unannounced water shut-offs, and issues with cleanliness and maintenance of common areas like the courtyards and laundry facilities. Residents also report problems with pest infestations, mold, and inadequate resolution of recurring maintenance issues within units.

I moved from Miami and here's my honest verdict: 1) AZURE EAST managed by Yale Management HAS MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS THAT THEY SIMPLY LIKE TO PAINT OVER. THIS IS A "HOOD"! Only move here if you are 100% desperate - any other apartment complex on this street or in this area is fine, just not Azure East, unless you want to feel like you're in the projects. 2) The property managers, Carmen and Maria, will lie to you just to get you moved into a poorly renovated unit (they are simply repainted - cabinetry and appliances are not changed). 3) The units are old and unsettled - they look NOTHING like the online pictures. The buildings don't match and the property looks like it's in constant renovation with no actual renovation. 4) Neighbors are noisy and their children write on the complex walls. The walkways and underpasses are dirty with a trail of Caprisun juice packets and cigarette butts leading your way. 5) The apartment doors and windows are unclean to the point of pale yellow stains, along with mold and dust buildup. 6) The electrical wiring is faulty and the water pipes are unclean based on how the water comes out of the faucets. 7) "Maintenance" are random workers or "handymen" they randomly find and hire, so nothing is repaired on time or efficiently. 8) The pool is bluish-green and the "sunroof" is non-existent. 9) Azure East managed by Yale Management has major health code violations, is not up-to-code, poorly managed, and dirty, with unreliable management and maintenance. 10) The associated pictures are what my apartment looked like AFTER I cleaned it and the workers painted HALF the apartment - and to this moment, IT IS STILL INCOMPLETE. Yes, these findings have been reported to the City of Tampa Code Division and Neighborhood Enhancement Department. This is me saving the next person or family from an almost guaranteed residential headache or physical illness. Once again, only move here if you are 100% desperate with nowhere else to go or you will regret it...

Beware of this apartment complex, DO NOT LIVE HERE. The apartment above is the worst apartment I have ever lived in! My partner and I always paid our rent on time and did everything we could to be great tenants. However management is constantly changing and never up to date with their tenants. Water is constantly being turned off daily if not every other day for hours at a time. Maintenance issues were never handled or fixed properly. From spray painting water damaged tiles in the bathroom (I was not informed this would be how they were “fixing” the tiles and the maintenance man sprayed paint all over my personal belongings in the bathroom) to patching up doors with holes from previous tenants instead of actually replacing them. Issues that are left in units from previous tenants will not be fixed but rather “patched”. My closet door constantly came off the tracks because the piece of wood was patched back up instead of ordering a new door. My bathroom had two toilet paper holders one of which was clearly outdated and never used. When I asked if they would remove said holder I was told that they would not be able to do so because the apartment was to be rented as is. There is dog feces and urine all throughout the complex as tenants let their animals use the restroom throughout the complex without cleaning up. The dumpster bins tend to overflow and people leave piles of furniture sitting next to them. Trash is left all throughout the complex including peoples cigarettes. Kids are constantly running throughout the complex without any supervision throwing rocks and toys at peoples doors. The sun deck that is pictured above the leasing office was never open throughout my lease there. The gates are always locked to the sun deck and pool furniture is never actually at the pool. We had issues with people hopping the fence in the parking lot and vandalizing said pool furniture to the point where they removed all furniture from the pool. All of the apartments are filled with mold which we were told it was our job/responsibility to clean ourselves. Patio/balcony floors are stained and absolutely disgusting. Patio/balcony doors don’t function properly and are also filled with mold and dust as if they have never been cleaned. The on site “laundry mat” is always disgusting. The washers are left atrocious with dust, dirt and mold. Water fills the laundry rooms floor from washers not functioning properly and most of the dryers do not work effectively. All this considered and you are still charged to use the washers/dryers in said laundry room. The office managers never answer emails, phone calls or texts and never have the information needed to answer your questions. Even after the office changed managers more than 3 times in 3 years their professionalism never changes. You are never greeted when you walk in the office and are always treated like the issues or questions you have are an inconvenience to be handled. Mind you we were made to pay an entire months rent our last month there even though our lease ended the 15th of that month. When asked why we had to be charged a full months rent the manager told us it was “insurance” to ensure tenants did not stay past their end of lease date. Upon leaving this apartment complex I was given a number as to what I should expect to receive on my last check and am now being told my lease does not show a deposit listed and the number I was expecting to receive is “incorrect”. I have been waiting 9 weeks to receive this check just to find out the check has not even begun to be processed and they don’t even know the correct amount of what I am going to be receiving back. This is a horrible complex through and through. If negative stars were an option they would be selected. Definitely do not recommend living at azure east.

Shower leak and water heater issues

I wish I could give less than 1 star. I’ve lived there for two years and recently renewed my lease for 15 more months despite the problems I’ve had here. On December 31, 2025, my apartment flooded for the third time in less than two years of living there. I called the emergency line to let them know that there were inches of water in the whole apartment. I had to call the fire department for them to break down the door to the apartment above me and shut off the water. It took six days for them to get back to me. No mold remediation company would come in without property permission. My children’s Christmas presents were ruined and when maintenance came in, they stole my baby daughter’s brand new $70 Adidas sneakers. All they did was patch and paint the leak and put a dehumidifier on the drenched rugs. We found black mold in the closet. They didn’t return January’s rent which I paid two days before the flooding or anything. Just agreed to get me out of the lease without penalty and give me my deposit back minus wear and tear. Only move here if you are absolutely desperate.

I love staying over here it’s relatively quiet our front office management is one of the best management companies I’ve ever had No, it’s not no luxury home but a home is what you make it. I will be renewing my lease to stay another year over here.
