Atwater at Westchase

I never received my deposit! I moved out 3/14/26 (two days before my actual move out date due to an out of state family emergency) and it is now 6/15/26. I physically had to go to the property to ask them about me deposit and still nothing. Everything in the apartment is fixed just enough after the previous tenant so it breaks while you are staying there, all my bifold doors were installed backwards so they didn't open/close properly. My keypad to unlock the apt never worked. The towel rack in my shower was fixed with caulk so it was bound to break again with just the tension of the bar/pole. I had an electrical outlet bursting out of the wall and they did a poor job covering old holes with joint compound. I had a faucet leak in my bathtub and kitchen during my entire stay to which neither was fixed and I paid the price in my water bill. They even charged me a cleaning fee after I moved out that I was unaware of despite me having literally cleaning the entire apt from top to bottom, including scrubbing walls and baseboards, cabinets, floors, counters, tubs and vacuuming. I didn't shampoo the rugs because I had large area rugs and despite having a cat on my lease, I never actually had my cat inside. Update: it is now 7/22/26 management did reach out to me last month and spoke about having my deposit delivered to them and I'd pick it up since I hadn't received it in the mail. I assumed they'd call once they received the check so I could pick it up, but still no response. All of the staff has been really nice through the entire process, but still no results. Update2: it is now 8/6/26. I went to the office to pick up my check. It looked like it had been through war! I went to deposit it and it is void. Apparently they had received my old check instead of mailing out a new one so now I have to go through the whole process again and I now live out of state making everything even more irritating.

I’m leaving another review because I wasn’t given the option to respond to your reply, and I don’t appreciate inaccurate statements made to protect your business. To clarify, I never provided identification during my first visit. My tour was by appointment, and the leasing agent (I believe her name was Jasmin) arrived approximately 15–20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Because the tour started late, the process was rushed, and I was never asked to present my ID before being shown multiple units. Regarding my second visit, the interaction that ultimately led me to leave my original review, you personally told the employee with the blackout sleeve tattoo that she could show me a unit at her own discretion since you already had my husband’s identification. She chose not to, which is certainly her right. My concern was never that she declined, but rather the inconsistency in your policies and the lack of professionalism in how the situation was handled. My original review reflected my experience honestly. Your response is inaccurate and does not address the concerns I raised.

This condo is a huge disgrace. They don't take out the tenants' trash and they charge for it. The gym is falling apart, teenagers go in and smash the machines and nobody does anything. 👎 DO NOT MOVE HERE

Very disorganized experience. I was shown two units that were supposedly available for immediate move in, only to find out neither was actually available. During my first tour, I was allowed in without being asked for identification. On my second visit, despite having my husbands ID, they refused to provide a tour or assist me at all. The inconsistency and lack of organization made for a very frustrating experience. I can only assume this would continue into any residential experience.
