This property consistently earns high praise for its prime location, beautiful apartments with great views, and top-tier amenities like the gym and pool, all contributing to a vibrant social atmosphere. While most staff are commended for their helpfulness and warmth, some students have reported frustrations with communication regarding billing, move-out charges, and package delivery, along with strict parking policies that can be inconvenient.

I enjoyed my short time at 101 N Meridian. Which is the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars not 1. I had to move with about 4 months left on my lease due to personal extenuating circumstances. At that point in time my only option was to pay for the remaining months because terminating a lease early required a 60 days notice before getting charged double rent, essentially paying for 4 months of rent anyway. I understand this was included in the lease agreement but there was minimal effort to accommodate. Then over the past few months I have been paying my rent while not living there, but what upset me again was the final bill. The cost for painting was extremely high so for future renters be sure to insist on them painting any scuffs you notice during move in because they will charge you during the move out. Also, the cleaning fee was ridiculous, I am a clean person and have never been charged a leaving fee from another apartment complex. The apartment at 101 was left in better condition than when I entered and I was still charged a large fee. Billing has not been helpful and only suggests that the charges are valid according to the lease. I hope they make this right, but as for now it does not look that way.

I did a self-tour recently, and although I would've preferred a guided tour, Nejah on the concierge team went above and beyond to make the experience as smooth as possible. I was traveling with luggage because I had a flight later that day, and she was able to hold my bags at the front desk during the tour. At other apartment buildings I toured in the area, I was given guided tours but wasn't allowed to leave my luggage, so I had to drag it around the entire time. Nejah was incredibly warm, friendly, and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived.

I'll start with the positives because there definitely are some. The apartments themselves are nice, the views are beautiful, and the amenities are honestly one of the best parts. The gym, pool, outdoor games, and having concierge service 24/7 are all great. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. That being said, there have been enough issues that I wish I had known about before moving in. The biggest problem has been with one of the concierges. There are two concierges who usually work the front desk, a woman and a man. I've never had any issues with the man, but my experience with the woman has been completely different. Since my partner and I moved in, she's been rude to me multiple times for no reason. Every interaction feels like she's talking down to you or like you're dumb for asking a simple question. We've had constant problems with packages. My deliveries are almost always marked as delivered to the parcel locker, but I usually never receive the access code. Every other employee has helped me without an issue, but I had two packages come in under my mom's name because they were gifts she ordered for me. When I went to the front desk to ask about them because I never received a code, the concierge immediately told me they didn't have my packages and that they were sent back because my mom isn't on the lease. My mom's packages were still clearly marked as delivered to the parcel locker, and i showed her the image. I politely asked if she could please check because I was never told that this was an issue before. She gave me an attitude, seemed very annoyed, and made me feel like I was dumb for even asking. She eventually went to check and came back with my packages. I also had another package delivered, and she continues to insist it isn't there even though the tracking says it was delivered. Every time I ask, she tells me to come back later, and when I do, she says the same thing. One of those packages is my prescription medication, and I've now been waiting four days because of this. Instead of trying to help, she makes you feel like you're the problem. Another issue is the neighbors. Just be aware that you might end up with noisy neighbors. We received a noise complaint one night when we weren't even home. We showed the concierge our Life360 history proving we had been gone the entire day, but unfortunately we still had to deal with the consequences. Something else that future residents should know is that if anyone 18 or older lives in your apartment, even if they're a student, unemployed, an elderly family member, or someone who doesn't work, they have to be added to the lease. From what we were told, every adult also has to qualify by making three times the monthly rent, which can make moving in difficult for a lot of people. Overall, the apartment itself is nice and the amenities are great, but good customer service is just as important as having a nice place to live. Between the package issues, being talked down to, and the lack of help from one of the concierge, it's been a much more frustrating experience than it should be. I really hope management addresses these issues because this property has a lot of potential, but until then I'd definitely recommend doing your research and thinking twice before signing a lease.
