Lakeside at Southwood Apartments

Absolutely wonderful experience! Cookie our leasing consultant was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable! She gave us a tour of the property and all its amenities. The apartments are a beautiful!

Nice apartments but bad management. Staff is unprofessional and rude, especially the older gentleman on the maintenance team that rides around on his golf cart yelling at tenants as if he owns the place. Seems to be the only thing he does. There is pet waste all over the place. The bins are always overflowing. The leasing office staff is incredibly rude once you sign the dotted line. We had to have our floors replaced in the middle of our lease because the peel and stick plank they used kept coming up. This required us to move all of our furniture and basically turn the apartment inside out. Instead of comping us these days in rent, they INCREASED the rent. The utility closet spread the smell of mildew into the living areas and maintenance did nothing. The door seals weren’t on properly which caused the door frame to mold. $100 in charges for paint after we moved out for some scuff marks by the door. Anywhere else this would have been normal wear and tear. Avoid if you can. You’re just another number at this place. Happy to be homeowner again! Good riddance lakeside at Southwood!

I put in the maintenance request for my AC in the morning and within a few hours, the maintenance person called and asked permission to enter my apt. It was pouring down rain and he had to go outside a few times to inspect and fix the unit. I appreciated his diligence in getting the AC to work.
