I’ve lived at this Greystar-managed community for over two years and have paid rent on time every single month. I genuinely enjoy the property itself and wanted to continue living here. Unfortunately, after reporting hostile behavior from neighbors (including one incident where a neighbor used a homophobic slur at our door, which we have on video), we requested an apartment transfer as a way to de-escalate and resolve the issue peacefully. Despite multiple vacant units, the transfer was denied. The denial was based on a minor, disputed issue involving a temporary delivery placed near our door, which was treated as a violation despite being promptly addressed. Shortly after, we were notified that our lease would not be renewed, with no explanation provided and no opportunity to discuss or appeal the decision. At no point were we evicted, late on rent, or cited for any serious lease violations. We attempted to resolve concerns internally and in good faith, but decisions at the on-site management level felt one-sided and dismissive especially by Ashley Abeler who is the leasing manager. This has been disappointing, especially given Greystar’s reputation. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to engage in dialogue made a difficult situation unnecessarily stressful.

The front office staff at The Ensley, Isela, Michelle, Ashley have been amazing. They are always ready to answer any questions and help you out. They set up activities every month, and it is a lot of fun to meet other residents. If you are looking for an apartment to move to, check out The Ensley!! You will love it here. Also, Alex and Patrick are wonderful workers at The Ensley. When we put in a work ticket for the apartment, they are there to help out as quick as they can.

Off to an amazing start! Isela and Michelle were both absolutely outstanding in helping my husband and I with our December move. They were professional, and extremely helpful from start to finish. The entire process was smooth and stress-free thanks to their hard work. We are truly grateful and highly recommend.

I am a resident of The Ensley and currently in my second lease term with the community. I have always recommended the condominium to friends and acquaintances, highlighting its excellent structure. However, unfortunately, my recent experience with the office has been extremely disappointing. Last week, I went to the office to ask for information about how to proceed in case I needed to cancel my lease due to a possible move. Yesterday, around 4:00 p.m., I personally went to the office accompanied by a Realtor, since I am not fluent in English. I was assisted by Ansley, who informed me that I could transfer my lease to a smaller unit by paying a $1,000 fee and that it would be possible to transfer the lease to another person, as long as both a new application from the incoming tenant and a new application for the smaller unit were completed. She also mentioned that the new resident would be eligible for the benefit of two months of free rent. She provided us with the forms and explained that they had to be filled out manually. Following her instructions, we paid $400 for the new applications. Today, I returned to the office with the same Realtor to clarify some questions about the documentation, and to my surprise, the manager informed me that the previous information was incorrect. She stated that I would need to present written proof by email of what was said, since “only emails are valid.” I explained that the conversation took place in person and asked to speak again with the staff member who had provided the information. However, the manager responded in an authoritarian manner, repeatedly saying, “that information was wrong.” This situation caused unnecessary stress, expenses, and a significant waste of time. To make matters worse, when the Realtor tried to speak with the staff member to clarify the misunderstanding, the manager asked her to leave the office. So, I would like to ask: Does the word of an office employee not count? Why do residents always need written proof by email if we are supposed to trust the information provided directly by the condominium staff? I leave this report as a formal complaint and request for review of staff conduct and training, so that other residents do not go through the same situation.

The entire staff, Ashley, Isela and our favorite, Michelle have played a huge part in making our move from Spring, Texas to Sarasota a smooth and successful one. Michelle went above and beyond on our move-in day due to we were arriving a few minutes after closing time. She waited for us!! For ever grateful!! Love the community and our neighbors have been very welcoming. Our babies love it here as well! Truly a blessing from God!
