The Osceola Apartments

My daughter has lived at The Osceola for two years and has really loved it. We’ve experienced a few issues here and there, but the staff has always been incredibly helpful and responsive when those situations came up. Their support has made all the difference! I would definitely recommend this property if you’re still looking for housing.

I went on a tour here recently and had a really good experience. Sandra was the one who showed me around and she was super nice and easy to talk to. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and didn’t rush me at all. She made the whole place feel welcoming and comfortable. Definitely left a good first impression.

There’s a young lady name Sandra Mccants. She was amazing with her Customer Service and there’s another young lady named Cameron Williams. These ladies have amazing customer service. I hope you all highly consider giving them a raise.

This is a great place for living in your own for the first time. It’s one of the few affordable options in college town and the amenities are great! BTW, If you keep it clean, dishes and garbage you will not see bugs. Great location and staff is so friendly. ask for Mali and she will take great care of you and honestly advise you on your best option from personal experience.

The absolute worst place I have ever lived in and would not recommend it to anyone. I encountered dozens of issues with this place while I lived there that people should be aware about: - When I toured, they neglected to tell me renovations would occur during my lease. I was not told the pool, gym, lounge area, and study rooms would be unavailable from August 2023 to March of 2024. they also neglected to tell me the small store in the lobby would be permanently removed. - My floor had no running hot water twice during my fall semester. first time occurred late September or so and took about a week or more to fix. Second time occurred late November and wasn’t fixed until January. Residents were forced to shower in ice cold water for a month and a half. We all got severely sick. Apartment also emailed us that the problem would be fixed on Dec 1. I emailed them around January 6th and they claimed they had no idea the water was broken. took another week to fix it. - AC broke in early May for over a week and apartment refused to fix it. All they did was leave old, dusty fans in our apartments. My room got above 80 degrees in the early summer - Apartment staff is incredibly rude and terrible to deal with. Constantly got irritated when you asked for mail or packages. If I didn’t need to go through them for my things, I never would’ve spoken to the front office because of their terrible manners - Bugs were a nightmare. I was fortunate to not have to deal with them as much, but my neighbors complained about them consistently - Speaking of bugs, my cat got a terrible flea infection while I lived here. I get fleas are common, but this was insane. I had to rush him to the emergency vet and pay over $200 to get him taken care of. So anyone with a furry friend, please be careful and keep an eye on them - My apartment constantly reeked of weed and air purifiers did nothing to help. It was a borderline health issue due to how strong the smell was and how nauseous it made me every single day. One neighbor of mine smoked weed 24/7 while the other smoked cigarettes. It was a migraine inducing nightmare - Management told me noise was not a complaint but that was a lie. Neighbors were incredibly loud, banging on the walls, screaming, and throwing things. Management did nothing when I made noise complaints - Washer and dryer units are extremely tiny and expensive. They were always broken and management told us we had to call the vendors to get them fixed as it wasn’t their responsibility. The mold picture is the 4th floor laundry room and it was revolting to see. - The hallways are always filthy. Residents left trash, garbage bags, and mattresses out in the halls - Residents do not have control over the AC in their rooms. I am a warm blooded individual so I was emailing maintenance to turn the temperature down all the time and was met with a rude attitude from them - Building only has 5 visitor parking spaces for its entirety - parking garage is $50 a month and it’s incredibly dangerous to get in and out of safely. Drivers speeding through the ramps and going around corners without stopping. It’s a miracle I never got hit when I was in there - Apartment would schedule an event for residents and then cancel with little notice due to “unforeseen circumstances” several times over - Dust and mold is very common here. I could spend an entire day deep cleaning the apartment and the next morning wake up with a new mountain of dust on the desk - Walls are incredibly thin, so beware because your neighbors can hear you and you will hear them - If you rent a studio here, the mini fridges they provide are horrible. Overall, a really horrendous place to live. Living here ruined my freshman year experience as I knew after a long day of work or classes, I would have to return here and deal with whatever new problem possible. I can’t recall going more than a week without a new issue and management doing nothing about it. This is one of the worst apartments in Tallahassee and I can’t stress it enough.
