We came in 2011 to get my family member on the waiting list for an apartment. . Office lady, who claimed on my most recent visit that the building is hers, told us that the only way is to fill out physical form and leave it with her. She said ,we can follow up ,but it takes ten or more years to get the opening. Also, she did not provide us with any physical proof that she placed us on a waiting list. The application that she did not make a copy of for our record was filled out and left at the office.. Office lady was cordial at the time, but there was a sense that she didn't want us to ask her anything else, nor she sounded welcoming, never mind helpfull. Since we just filled an application we walked out little confused. We have followed up with the office to check the status of the application every now and then. Most of those times no returned calls when leaving a voicemail. While visiting the office, we could not enter the building, because " manager" was not there. I have researched on line and could not get any guidance how to reach and ask where my family is on that " waiting list". Most recent office visit was not pleasant. After my questioning where is my family member application. She simply answered , that she does not have it. With her cool 😎 reaction there was a sense of not caring, as she did not provide any solution then to place him again on the list. When I questioned what proof I could take with me when I place him back on the " waiting list" she simply answered:" I can place him on the list and I can not give you the list or any proof. She would not offer a proof or help how to correctly follow up .... I further pursued to ask that must be some kind of proof. She stood up accusing me of being beligerant with her. I told that she can not acuse me of that because I am recording her conversation. Then she went on how she is going to get an attorney, because she states I have recorded her without letting her know I reminded her that I just let her know I did record her. She would not let me have any contact numbers,, and asked me to get the number that was on a paper outside of her office. She threatened to call police. Instead I called police and asked for advice. This person has been too long there and need to be examined for her unethical behavior while conducting business. Her unethical approach how she handles " businss" at The Oaks on 700 N. Denning Ave. It creates bad representation of the place and raises a question how is this allowed. Certainly Bad reputation for a Equal Housing Opportunity . Certainly is bad brand ambassador as she told me that I can call corporate, but that they would have the same answer. Someone needs to answer for all the funding that was given for the Equal Housing Opportunity....

The lady in the office was so nice and friendly. She made me feel so welcome. Thank you

Everything there is wonderful 👏 the ofc manager there has been so helpful in serving the tenants, the place is so clean and I just love it here!!!
