Ironwood at Levy Apartments

I am not sure what has happened to these apartments in the past year. What I do know is that ever since April of 2024 when the management company took over , that things were not the same. In July 2024 when they had budget cuts was yet another reason as to why the property has gone down hill. Now the gates are not working, the office staff has zero clue as to what they are doing, and they do not clean the property at all. Back when Erlon and Ruth were the maintenance team, things were done in a timely manner, and the property was always clean. I had a former tenant send me pictures of raw sewage flowing through the parking lot..... this is not OK. I feel that the health and safety of the residents who live there are in jeopardy, and no one knows who to call to make things right.

I’ve been living at Innovation Overlook for just about the past year, and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far. I moved here for school and it is very close to all three campuses. The moment I stepped into my apartment, I was impressed by the brand new appliances and how modern the inside of the apartment looks. The maintenance team is incredibly prompt and efficient; any issues I've encountered so far have been addressed in a timely manner, often within the same day. It really gives me peace of mind knowing that help is just a call away! Security is another big plus here. The secure entry gate system makes me feel a bit safer and at ease while in my home. It’s reassuring to know that there’s a strong sense of security in the community. What truly makes this place special, though, is the friendly staff. They go above and beyond to ensure residents feel welcome and valued and at home. Whether it's a quick question or a larger concern, they’re always ready to assist with a smile. Tallahassee has had some pretty bad storms and although effected innovation overlook had done their very best at renovating and helping everyone in the community affected by said storms. If you’re looking for a fantastic place to call home, I highly recommend Innovation Overlook! It’s the perfect combination of comfort, reliability, and community.

Innovation Overlook is such a great place to live! The area is really quiet, management is helpful and friendly, and any repairs/issues I have had with my apartment are always addressed in a timely manner. Marli (building manager) is so sweet and has made this place such a joy to live in! The apartments are very spacious and affordable. They are also continuously adding new amenities to ensure a safe and comfortable place for everyone to enjoy!

Well to begin with, my husband and I didn't get a welcome email until the day before we moved in but even that email didn't tell us exactly where to find the laundry unit. We've called, left voice-mails, and even emailed management for more details about the laundry unit. Turns out, the laundry unit was in a tiny apartment that's been reconstructed temporarily to be a laundry unit. The place is super small and gets disgustingly humid after starting up the drier and washer. Theres a small window to open but that really doesnt help anything at all. Apparently management either doesn't know exactly where the laundry unit is at either or just didn't want to bother telling anyone because my husband and I ran into a couple (a month later) also looking for the laundry unit. Another thing, the apartment is bricked and painted over. I didn't have a problem with it until winter hit and we started using the heater in the apartment. The whole apartment started to get humid and very soon after started to mold quickly. It started in the kitchen and my husband placed in a ticket for maintenance. We didn't hear anything from maintenence until weeks later when they caught us walking outside to the mail. They explained to just turn on the AC...during winter..to avoid the humidity in the apartment and that was it. They closed our ticket and went on their day. My husband started spraying vinegar and wiping the ceiling to try to get the mold under control but it barely did anything. Eventually, the mold started growing on our cat's tree stand and we placed ANOTHER ticket in for the mold. Days later, the ticket was completed but nothing was done and no one came by the apartment. I work from home so I'm ALWAYS home and for sure no one came by. Also to note! If anyone at the apartment orders anything bigger than the small mailbox they provide, the boxes are left either outside of the apartment doors or in an unsecured mail bin in the empty building... not promising at all! NOT worth 975 a month in my opinion...

I rented here for the location to the colleges and the cost. I attend FSU and it is maybe a 4-5 minute drive. The neighbors are friendly and everyone kind of minds their own. The security gate is amazing because it helps me feel more secure while being away from my family. When i was doing the leasing process they helped me that same day to get all of the paperwork ready and let me work on my time. I am grateful for this community and I am thankful to be living in one of their apartments.
