This student housing offers an appealing combination of affordability and an excellent location, with many residents appreciating its close proximity to campus and reasonably priced, reliable parking. While many praise the staff for being helpful and responsive to maintenance requests, some residents have experienced issues with the condition of their units upon move-in, including cleanliness and outdated appliances, and a few have noted concerns regarding communication and the handling of certain policies.

âIn my experience, the staff here mostly repeat whatever policies their corporate company sets, especially when those policies feel like theyâre just about making more money. I was charged $120 for having a visitor because their parking rules change so often that itâs hard to keep up with them.Amenities have gotten worse or become dysfunctional over time. The pool has been closed for months and still isnât open for summer, the garage gates donât work, the elevators are turned off often (so you have to go up to 6 flights of stairs to get to your car or apartment), the key fobs cost $80 to replace even though you can buy the same model online for around $20, the parking passes cost $150 to replace and are basically just plastic, and the printer breaks constantly. When you try to complain, the onâsite management canât actually fix anything because theyâre just the employees who have to communicate whatever The Scion Group LLC decides. It feels like residents are stuck dealing with the consequences while corporate makes the decisions.Recently, the visitor parking system changed in a way that feels like itâs designed to generate more revenue. What used to be parking for residentsâ guests is now open to anyone who wants to pay to park at the community, while our own guests can only stay for 48 hours â including weekends and overnight â before we get charged $3 an hour. None of this is in the leasing agreement we signed, and they already changed the policy once in the middle of the lease year.Iâm wording this clearly as my personal experience and opinions because the lease includes a clause about not âinjuring the reputation of the property.â Iâm simply sharing what Iâve personally dealt with so future residents know what to expect.â

I lived here for my last two years of college and have only good things to say. Rent is relatively cheap considering the proximity to campus, the parking is the cheapest you will find, and the office staff were helpful and concise about acknowledging issues and handling package deliveries.
