I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and it’s a lovely spot. The maintenance staff is very responsive in the office. Staff are very friendly. It’s nice and clean and the neighbors seem to like and watch out for each other

BE AWARE - DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT AND SIGN A LEASE. I am writing this to strongly advise against moving into Oaks at Normandy. This property is managed by what appear to be slumlords whose only priority is maximizing profit through aggressive fees and minimum effort on necessary repairs. Maintenance is non-existent. When my AC stopped working entirely, they came, looked at it, and promised to return to flush the system and replace the filter—they never returned. This pattern holds true for all requests. They will acknowledge the issue in the office, but nothing ever gets fixed. It is clear that resident comfort and safety are not a priority. We experienced significant water leaks and water damage stains in both my bedroom and my children's bedroom. Their solution was to simply paint over the water stains rather than addressing the source of the leak, a truly dishonest and temporary fix. The most egregious issue was a large, gaping hole on the roof outside my unit (a three-story building). This was left open for two to three months, creating a risk for pests and continued water intrusion. Maintenance finally made the repair the week after we moved out. This level of negligence is unacceptable. The front office staff is professional in conversation, but their actions prove they simply do not care. The entire operation seems geared toward finding ways to scam current and moving-out residents. They find every minor detail to hit you with fees and violations, making it feel like they are actively trying to take as much money from you as possible. Furthermore, this complex was a gated community, but the gate was consistently broken and left open, rendering the community anything but secure. This lack of security led directly to my car being stolen within the first few months of moving there, and the complex did nothing to address or remedy this. BOTTOM LINE: If you value functional amenities, timely repairs, and honest management, avoid Oaks at Normandy. Save yourself the stress, the health risks from unrepaired water damage, and the constant threat of predatory fees.

Its a very quiet alright apartment complex the cleaning could be a little better the lake is very dirty as well as the stairs not the best lake view as in the pictures the lake is green do NOT FALL FOR THE PICTURES!! There is Dog shit almost everywere in the grass. The price has went up recently but for the size of the apartments and for these to only be renovated not “new” apartments the price shouldn’t be as much thats a downside as well after that little discount they do for the first year the rent goes up even higher. To pay $35 for a dirty lake view is insane there is so MUCH trash in the lake.

I have lived in this complex for 5 years and my experience has only gotten worse every year. First, my tires were slashed and I discovered that none of the security cameras worked—despite the fact that this is advertised as a gated community with surveillance. The gates rarely function properly, leaving the community completely exposed. Later, my car was broken into and nearly stolen when someone tried to hotwire it. Not long after, my roommate’s car was actually stolen, and once again, the cameras were “not working.” On top of the safety concerns, I have developed respiratory issues since living here. An at-home mold test confirmed mold in my unit, but management brushed it off by saying my vent was “just dirty.” I’ve asked multiple times to break my lease early for the health and safety of my two young children, and management has refused to work with me. What makes this even more insulting is the cost. I am paying over $1,700 a month for an outdated unit, while they run new move-in specials for $1,400 on updated apartments. The lack of care, safety, and integrity here is appalling. This place is a scam and a hazard. Do NOT move here—you will regret it. I’m attaching photos of what I woke up to this morning. Proving that there is water damage and mold in my unit. I am disgusted that I am forced to live here or be charged a ridiculous amount of money to break my lease.

Bathtub been peeling for months , my 12yr old son window on the 3rd floor keeps falling out of the window frame, carpet rips when vacuum been here for nearly a year and will not be renewing my lease due to poor living conditions & no urgency to repair. The longer I stay the worse conditions get and I am starting to see roaches like I did when I first moved in. They sprayed in the beginning and then stopped. Lights bulbs in kitchen keeps going out. Sinkhole behind my apartment building, I work overnight could not go to sleep after 12hr shift because heard banging on the roof about my bedroom for 2hours, was not notified of construction taking place. I’m just over it! Oh yes & owner goes around taking pictures off cheap blinds. Charges $25 fee if blinds are bent !!! These blinds are so fragile & rip like confetti. Not worth the money.
