While some residents praise the friendly and attentive office staff, highlighting their professionalism and willingness to help, many others express serious concerns about the living conditions and management. Repeated issues include pest infestations (roaches and rats), persistent maintenance problems like plumbing and electrical issues, and a general lack of upkeep. Prospective students should be aware of these recurring challenges before considering this property.

The worst place I have ever rented in my life I came in. I was promised that there was no roaches and that’s the most thing that started coming out after they had people move into the new units. My bathroom shower was never painted like promise. The worst thing is coming home at five in the morning and can get in because the gate doesn’t work and you’re always locked out for some apparent reason. My refrigerator goes in and out and it makes a puddle of water every other day in the kitchen I can’t even buy vegetables or fruit because they go bad milk doesn’t even last two weeks because of it. My sink in the bathroom started to overflow with sewer water from other apartments and they can’t find what can be causing it. I advice that you don’t waste your time.💯 I can’t even use my balcony in the back. I was promised that they were going to put a beam to hold up my balcony because the first week I moved in the balcony cracked and it shifted down and they told me not to use it until they fixed it and I have not used it and they still haven’t fixed it and it’s been more than three months. The same thing with repainting the bathroom bathtub and replacing the bathroom sink… idk what I got myself into all the new kitchen supplies that I bought are all getting infected by roaches as frustrating and obnoxious their days that I can’t even sleep because of the frustration because my apartment is never dirty, but it feels dirty with these insects that keep coming in and nothing is being done…. I wish I can move out too be honest….. I honestly would love to break my lease and find a new place to live. i’m going to look into it. And I should not be held for any repercussions.

From the very first day I came in to apply, Santana was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my entire move‑in process. He guided me step by step, made everything feel easy, and ensured I understood every part of the application and approval. When I finally received my keys, he was just as attentive as he was on day one. What truly stood out was that even after I moved in, Santana took the time to check in on me to make sure everything was going well and that I was happy with my unit. That level of care is rare and genuinely appreciated. Johana was also extremely accommodating and welcoming. Together, they made the experience smooth and stress‑free. I can honestly say I see a big positive change in the property since my last visit — the environment feels more organized, more friendly, and I actually felt welcomed to apply. Highly recommend working with Santana and Johana if you’re looking for a place at The Columns Apartments. Their professionalism and kindness make all the difference.

The worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. I couldn't even finish my lease because living here is unbearable. Besides stealing my money and trying to make me pay double, they added it to my record as if they weren't the ones at fault. The apartments are falling apart, a total dump and filth. The office is always closed, nobody helps you, and the manager, Johanna, who is new, is absolutely useless. On the contrary, she creates more controversy and problems. She treats her employees very badly and is disrespectful to customers. She has a stick blocking the door so it won't close and anyone can walk in at night. Every weekend there are fights and, lately, shootings, all because of the people this new manager has brought in to fill the empty apartments. She's bringing in a lot of criminals and undesirable people, even though there are people who have lived here for years with children and elderly relatives. This condo used to be peaceful. and all the neighbors knew each other, now it's a slaughterhouse and it's even dangerous to go there at night

I've lived in this complex for a while now. Although it's an older building and sometimes has issues like blockages, the maintenance team usually responds quickly and resolves them, which is appreciated. However, my experience at the office today was completely unacceptable. I went to ask about the car sticker required to access the entrance gate, and I was attended to by one of the office workers, whose identity I don't know. From the very first moment, her attitude was discourteous, curt, and unprofessional. There was no intention of guiding me or explaining the process; she simply stated, rather rudely, that I needed to present a $10 money order, without offering any context, clear instructions, or any willingness to help. What was most concerning was that, only after noticing my frustration as I was leaving—after briefly responding to her attitude—did she decide to try to explain the procedure. In other words, the information could have been provided from the beginning, but there was no interest in doing so until the situation had become uncomfortable. This type of treatment is unacceptable in a place where one lives and expects a minimum of respect and communication. Such a basic interaction should not turn into a negative experience due to a lack of proper treatment. Unfortunately, situations like this directly affect the perception and comfort of the residents.
