River Road Apartments

Lovely clean and beautiful view of the water

My daughter rented an apartment from here for two years. Chose it for the view and location, which is wonderful. But that is it. From day one had issues. Day one: lock on back door not work and there was no cable connection to be found anywhere (although advertised there was)-neither was fixed-had to fix door herself. Had bad ant and cockroach infestations several times that had to take care of herself. Had leak in living room that leaked on her new couch for months before it was fixed. Had leak in another window that leaked water all over room-they did fix fairly fast but humidity is so high in the apartment you have to have a dehumidifier or mold will start to grow. Window came out of living room once and I ended up fixing because man could not figure it out. Laundry room prices have continued to go up and the laundry room is not nice and is small. The apartment was a remodeled one but it was really a cosmetic fix to make it look appealing. Appliances are cheap and paint job and door installments were terrible. Some tenants front doors do not even fit the opening and you can imagine the air leakage. She had to change filters on air conditioner unit inside herself and no one ever inspected it and it looks unsafe. Electrical is questionable. She had to ask several times about a smoke alarm for inside-they finally installed one after a few months. I won't even go into the unethical behavior of management-that was the last straw. My daughter was a good tenant and paid her rent on time, kept her apartment clean, kept patio area nice, would sweep the hallway so it was clean, was courteous to all and tried to communicate with management. The new management team appears to be an improvement and seems to want to work with their tenants but the apartments are not worth the money they are asking until they are fixed properly. I wish the new team luck because they have their hands full.

Beautiful views and great staff!

This is a great location and a v good property. Easy access to shops and highways. The new property management is fantastic. The new onsite manager is v responsive and action oriented and has really cleaned up some nuisance tenants recently. The new PM are v quick to answer your queries and have taken some clean up projects on priority. The location on the river adds to the overall beauty of the property.
