Lived at Lantern Sq almost 9 years. Enjoyed my time there. Mangement and maintenance staff excellent. Any problem I may have encountered was handled quickly and efficiently.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE "luxury apartments" Front office manager Monique Fischer as well as Lisa Altman and Denise Gantt made my wife and I very uncomfortable during our 3 year stay at these apartments. If we needed help with anything it felt like pulling teeth. Always looking to argue and will hang up the phone when they get frustrated. The AC units are absolutely garbage, good luck on the third floor your bill will be astronomical. Gate and garbage compactor breaks all the time. My motorcycle was stolen in broad daylight in front of the main office. Dog crap doesn't get picked up, it gets all on the sidewalks and parking lot until the rain comes. Before we moved my wife saw this sick, dying rat by the mailboxes and I knew we had to get out ASAP!!!!

This place seems very misleading. They constantly post ads online showing apartments available, but when you visit in person, they say nothing is actually available. It comes across as a tactic to collect high application fees without providing any real units to rent. Be cautious before giving them any money, make sure you confirm availability in writing first.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! Such a waste of money. The staff is incompetent. They re did the roof this year and I lived on the third floor. The roofers didn’t put a tarp and it rained so there were 4 leaks inside and the complex did not do anything about it until I physically went up there. I paid a day early on rent and got a confirmation email from them stating it was paid. Well 5 days later I got an eviction notice on my door stating I owe 1785.00. I contacted them to find out the issues and let them know ow I got a confirmation email from them stating it was paid and they basically said it’s my fault and I have to pay. Spiders are EVERYWHERE. All in the railings of the stair way. The ceilings, the door ways. The patios. Everywhere. The trash company they hire are trash themselves. The trash guy broke one of my trash bags and put it back by my door with a huge mess all over the floor and guess what? The complex blamed me for it. I would have rather lived in a cardboard box than given this complex a dime of my money. Management doesn’t respond to emails because they’re “too busy with renovations” trash. Don’t waste your time or money !!!!

Have been living here for almost 2 years now and at the beginning of my stay it seemed that it was a quiet and quaint place to live but as the months have gone on there has been a lot of noise and it seems that management doesn’t really care as much about what the residents want. It’s definitely gone downhill. It doesn’t feel as safe because the gates sometimes remain open and there have been people screaming in the parking lot at 2 am. Also maintenance really does not do their job and halfway fixes things all the time- we even had them break something of ours one time which we had to get reimbursed. The main upside is the interior of the apartment itself. it’s a pretty good deal for the square footage and the fact that you get a loft and a sunroom. It’s an older communities so be prepared to have an AC unit that doesn’t work very well or at all in the summer months and you may have to pay upwards of $200 on your electric bill for a one bedroom apartment. I think the area is pretty central to a lot of things, including at Austin Park, it’s only 12 to 15 minutes to the town center and it’s pretty close to the southside area, but there’s not a lot in the actual area of the apartments. Another downside is that Walmart is right across the street and a lot of the time there is stuff going on in the Walmart parking lot late at night. Additionally, the apartments are attached to businesses underneath them so sometimes there will be noise from those businesses. I’ve never heard of an apartment complex being attached to businesses except for in a few other instances besides this.
