City Place

Big roach issue. Apparently it’s been building wide for years. Hallways smell like cat urine and mold. No parking anywhere, and the garage parking is blocks away and $100 a month. Staff will tow your car if they don’t like where you parked, across the street will tow your car. Street parking can only be paid for a few hours at a time, and the city loves to hand out tickets. It’s cheap, but your life is gonna be full of stress and inconvenience. Pay a bit more to not deal with the tickets, roaches and homeless.

Love the location, love the view, love the front office & maintenance staff. However, there are roach problems :( That just refuse to go away. I used outside pest control and they stated that unless every single unit was cleared out and treated then likely the roaches just move from one unit to the next to avoid pesticides while they are recent, then come back later. Sad to move but unfortunately will be moving due to this issue.

It's ok in a pinch or if you can't Afford 11E or The Carlton. Warning - This building has major bug issues.

Amazing location! The building is kept very nice. The elevators are the fastest I've ever encountered, and there are 3 of them. Laundry facilities are the best. The dryer dries even my towels in one cycle. I walk in the neighborhood, even at night. The people around the downtown area, even the possible homeless, are courteous and friendly. The restaurant downstairs is a big plus, Phos Fever. just wish he was open later. The security guards, maintenance, cleaning crews, and especially the Manager are the most helpful.This is the best deal in Jacksonville.I highly recommend it.

This my second time living here at City Place Apartments. As before I love it here. The management is very helpful whenever I need anything. The maintenance crew is on top of their jobs, keeping the building in top shape. I thoroughly enjoy living here and recommend to anyone interested living in the downtown area you will not be disappointed.
