Banyan Bay

My husband and I were looking to downsize and save money while being somewhere that didn’t feel like we were giving up much. The convenience of being closer to shops was really what drew our attention. Evadne was so helpful throughout our journey of apartment hunting. The move in process was simple— we literally got everything taken care of within a week and moved in. After moving in, it’s been quiet, the neighbors are nice, valet trash is a plus and it’s cozy. One thing that I really loved in the patios are screened in so no bugs!! It has all the essentials you need from a children’s play area, dog park, walking trails, pool, and tennis court. You can “rent” which is borrowing the community bikes and pickleball or tennis equipment.

Banyan Bay is a beautiful location and peaceful place , the staff Evadne , trinity and the gorgeous Valerie who welcomed me in this community are very nice person. I will not forget the maintenance guys who always dropping in to fix things, 🙏🏿 . Before I share my disappointed experience I have with room and the manager , I want to apologize to all my Mayo Clinic Jacksonville colleagues that I have directed there . I would love to continue staying there , but with all the issues in the apartment room and the insane increase rent , I have to leave. After the heavy we had , one of my bedrooms was flooded and my belongings destroyed at the porch and in the bedroom, and I was constantly having bugs and worms and my living room. As a health care provider, I wouldn’t take all that . Yes, I have mentioned the front desk ladies are great however the manager is not a caring or supportive person at all, after all these bad events , she still increased my rent from 2200 to $3600 if I have to renew for my lease. I went to her office and spoke with her about it , that in the same year within 6months , a rent will increase over 1200 while nothing was upgraded in the apartment? But Mrs Jessica told I have to take it or leave . I signed my lease on a 9th of January for 6months , and instead of paying for 21 days for the first month, I pay for the whole month, and I have been told that when the time comes and I will be leaving that I will leave the same day I came . At the end of my loss not renew because I was tired sleeping with cockroaches 🪳 in my bedroom. I pay a mint to month high rent from July 8th to August 8th, but When I emailed Jessica of my intention of leaving the August 8th, she email me and said that if I stayed there until August 1st , that I have to pay a portion of a month of August which was an abuse to me , because I have already paid the rent from July 8th to August 8th. That lady doesn’t care about any tenant , but just money. They own me 9days of rent money, but don’t want to accept it. The best thing that came out of Banyan bay is the front desk ladies, so please for your comfort, your peace , and your money, don’t go there . There are better place luxurious apartments in the areas and around Mayo less expensive.

anytime I have questions or need anything Evani is always such a big help!! The other day she helped me hunt down a package amazon delivered to the wrong door & she drove me around the whole neighborhood and we ended up finding it! SHE IS THE BEST!!

Moved to Jacksonville from South Carolina and I was really nervous about finding an apartment and getting settled quickly, but Evadne made the process so smooth and seamless! I was able to tour, sign a lease and get settled in without any issues. She was amazing! I am very happy with the apartment and complex. Everything is clean, well taken care, and it feels very safe.

Evadne has been nothing but helpful since we’ve moved in and is so friendly! I always love seeing her when I go into the office, she always greets us with a smile!
