The Lofts on Gaines

I wouldn’t recommend The Loft on Gaines to anyone. My apartment was infested with cockroaches for over half a year. They were in the kitchen, bathroom, shower, crawling on my food, and even on me at night while I slept. Roach feces were everywhere—inside cabinets, on countertops, and around the floors. It was absolutely disgusting. Management’s “solution” was to send the same pest control guy once a week, using the same treatments that never worked. Even with videos showing live roaches during the day (which any pest professional will tell you means a severe infestation), management claimed there was “no active infestation.” Their inspections consisted of shining a flashlight in a few spots and declaring everything fine. The reality? I had to find somewhere else to sleep because my unit was unlivable. Moving out was a nightmare because I had to figure out how to avoid bringing the infestation with me. And despite everything, they still charged their full mandatory cleaning fee. If you’re thinking about living here, be prepared for filth, denial, and management that will gaslight you about the conditions you’re living in. Absolutely the worst renting experience I’ve ever had.

New resident at the Lofts, met the owner Tony today. He was very reassuring and an amazing guy, extremely nice. Definitely one of the best spots to live in Tallahassee. The rent prices are insanely well balanced compared to other apartments around this area. Additionally, the apartments are much nicer than any others I have seen here. Would 100% recommend if you are able to find availability.

I lived at lofts for 2 years and have nothing but great things to say about this apartment! Great apartment space, never any major issues, office staff is nice. Great location to campus, college town, the stadium. Loved my time here!

NO BETTER PLACE TO LIVE - amazing location, staff and apartments. I live on the top floor and having a loft in our apartment has been the best. Love the view from our balcony and the whole place is very new and spacious. Great for game days and being close to campus and College town, 10/10 recommend.

Lived here for two years, might renew for another. Great place and awesome staff!
