Beautiful Property, BUT Prospective Residents Deserve the Facts At first glance, Aura North Miami Beach looks exactly like what you’d expect from a luxury apartment community. The apartments are beautiful, the amenities are impressive, and the common areas are well maintained. Unfortunately, our experience has been very different. Luxury isn’t defined by modern finishes, a rooftop pool, or impressive amenities. It’s defined by safety, transparency, accountability, and how residents are treated after they move in. In our experience, this is where Aura falls short. Within days of moving in, our vehicle was broken into in the parking garage and personal belongings were stolen. While taking our report, the responding police officer told us this was already the third incident he was personally investigating at the property and that other officers were also handling additional cases there. Hearing that while standing beside our vehicle was both shocking and disheartening. We had just moved into what we believed would be a safe, luxury community. Residents also pay approximately $175 per month for garage parking. At a minimum, that fee should provide more than simply a place to park. It should include comprehensive security camera coverage, effective monitoring, and reasonable safeguards to help protect residents, their vehicles, and their property. Based on our experience, the level of security did not reflect the standards one should expect from a community that promotes itself as luxury living. Since moving in, we’ve heard similar concerns from other residents involving theft and security. While I cannot personally verify every account, I did personally see a notice posted on our floor asking for a pair of running shoes to be returned after they disappeared from outside a resident’s apartment door. Whether they were misplaced or stolen, the fact that a resident felt compelled to post that notice reflects the concerns being shared throughout the community. Another concern involved the garage clearance bar. During our move-in, my truck struck the clearance bar, breaking the supporting chain and causing it to fall. The existing bar was simply rehung, yet I was billed $600 for “reinstalling” it. Aura provided a vendor invoice Quote, but despite multiple attempts to contact the company to understand the work performed and the reason for the charge, my calls were never answered or returned. I was simply expected to pay the invoice without any meaningful explanation. What concerns me even more is that this was not an isolated incident. Management’s own documentation showed the same clearance bar had been struck before my incident, and it was struck again only days after it was rehung following mine. When the same issue continues to happen, the question shouldn’t only be who gets billed—it should also be why the problem continues and why it hasn’t been permanently addressed. There were also promises made during the leasing process that later changed, leaving us feeling that communication lacked transparency. This review isn’t written out of anger. It’s written so prospective residents can make a fully informed decision before signing a lease. Before choosing Aura, ask: * What additional fees can residents be charged beyond rent? * How are damage claims evaluated? * What security measures are actually in place to protect residents and their vehicles? * What is the property’s history regarding vehicle break-ins and other security incidents? * Are recurring maintenance or safety issues disclosed before signing a lease? Residents don’t expect perfection. We understand that no community can prevent every accident or every crime. What we do expect is transparency, accountability, reasonable security, and confidence that management’s first priority is protecting the people who already call Aura home—not simply billing them when something happens or focusing on leasing the next apartment.

Jay was wonderful to work with and great at communicating as we toured the complex. The units and the building are amazing and we look forward to our move in date!

I’ve lived here for 3 months now and have been woken up EVERY single night. There’s a hookah bar across the street with the loudest patrons, screaming, blasting music, honking horns until very late most nights. Then add the constant drag racing up and down W Dixie Hwy with people loudly revving their engines, you won’t get any sleep in this building. Save yourself the headache, I’m stuck here for a year until the lease ends. I can’t wait to get out. While it’s a pretty building, that’s all it really has going for it. Many people regularly complain about stolen packages, the trash chutes are regularly nonfunctional and management doesn’t care. Security in the parking garage has also been an issue. Again, don’t get sucked in by the pretty building/amenities.
