One of the smaller colleges of the University of London, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine was established to treat the British Empire-builders who returned home with exotic diseases. It’s based in Bloomsbury, home to a number of London’s most famous universities, and there are plenty of accommodation options nearby. Other convenient places to stay include Holborn, Shoreditch and Camden, which is just a few tube stops away.
