Bangor

A friendly waterfront city crammed with historical houses and bordered by the towering mountains of Snowdonia National Park

Bangor is a close knit university home. It’s a place you’ll come to study, and leave with a family. Bangor may be small, but it’s still a cosmopolitan place crammed with awesome bars, restaurants and live music. Take advantage of its stunning location between lectures. Go for a run along the Marina and spend the afternoon with fellow students in the fabulous Blue Sky cafe. There are over 10,000 students in Bangor so you won’t have to walk far before you see a friendly face or stumble upon a fun event run by your classmates. Six trains run direct from Bangor to London Euston, and you can be in Liverpool and Manchester in less than an hour and a half. Going to Bangor will give you the best of both worlds: a small university hub which offers big possibilities.
