Wake up and drive 10 minutes to the centre of Syracuse University Campus. On sunny days, cycle to class in around 15 minutes. At University Village Apartments on Colvin, you’re on the public bus route, so getting around Syracuse will be simple. There’s even a Zipcar available to use for day trips or to go to the mall for a couple of hours, or you can keep your own car in the free on-site parking. For something different, take a trip to Ithaca, 90 minutes’ drive away, or visit the wineries scattered around Syracuse.
When classes are in full swing, take time out to relax in the clubhouse. Sit on the couch by the fireplace chatting with friends. Organise film marathons in the movie theater, or rent the latest releases to watch in your apartment. There are plenty of events planned by the friendly management team to help you make friends fast and settle into student life.
Stock up on groceries at the nearest store, a 10-minute walk away, then return to your fully furnished apartment to make meals with your housemates in the well-equipped kitchen. Eat at the breakfast bar, or sit back on the couch in your lounge and watch TV together. Take breaks from studying at the desk in your private bedroom and let off steam with a gaming session in the games room, or work up a sweat in the fitness center.
Meet friends to work on big group projects in the community’s study room – the community-wide Wi-Fi gives you the flexibility to study wherever you like. If your laptop suddenly freezes you won’t have to panic as there’s a computer lab where you can finish that assignment or do last-minute printing.
