Northbridge is a suburb of Perth immediately north of the CBD area which is best renowned for its multi-cultural society. It’s a vibrant area which offers a variety of bars and night clubs and an eclectic mix of shops. The area has a large number of cafes and restaurants together with a variety of galleries and museums. The area hosts frequent indoor and outdoor cultural events (eg Cultural Centre and NIB Stadium).
The Boulevard is easily accessible by foot from Perth railway station and Wellington Street bus station and it is also served by a free CAT bus and also has a significant number of public car parks.
The Perth Cultural Centre is located in Northbridge, centred on the James Street Mall. The area is home to a number of cultural institutions including the Art Gallery of Western Australia, Western Australian Museum, State Library of Western Australia, State Records Office, State Theatre Centre of Western Australia, and Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts.
