Your student housing at Collegiate Commons is conveniently close to all the major schools. North Carolina A&T State University students can walk to campus in under 15 minutes, as can those attending Bennett College. The University of North Carolina is an eight-minute drive away, and you can reach Greensboro College, Guilford College and the Elon University School of Law in under 20 minutes. Best of all, Collegiate Commons is on the HEAT bus route so you don’t always need a car to get to class.
Greensboro is a charming city with loads of southern hospitality – especially when it comes to cuisine. Step out of Collegiate Commons, and you can cycle eight minutes to check out Crafted for their twist on Mexican street food, or tuck into tempura at Akashi Japanese Restaurant in a 10-minute drive. Sort out your sugar cravings at Cheesecakes by Alex, then get cosy with a coffee and an indie flick at Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema, which is 10 minutes away by car.
Despite being close to the social scene downtown, you’ll also find lots to do when you spend time at home at Collegiate Commons. Get to know your neighbours at the regular resident events, or meet up with your classmates for a quick workout in the fitness studio. Schedule group study sessions in the business center, and use the free printing facilities to read through your notes.
If you prefer to study alone, your bedroom has a desk, chair and Wi-Fi, along with plenty of space for your books. When hunger hits, fix yourself a snack from the fridge in your fully equipped kitchen, then sit back and watch cable TV. You can relax in the knowledge that your rent includes utilities like water, cable and some electricity, and you won’t have any problems with the maintenance team on hand for emergencies.
