Enjoy tucking into sweet treats at laid back cafés or listening to live country music when you live in student housing at Pointe at Western. Savour a chocolate chip cookie pie at The Pie Queen nearby, before catching a show at the art deco Capitol Arts Center. Alternatively, you can spend a lazy afternoon window shopping the boutiques around Fountain Square, before refueling with a chai latte at Spencer’s Coffee. On the weekend, head out of town with friends to Basil Griffin Park, where you can whizz around the roller hockey rink or shop for trinkets at nearby Flea Land market.

Get to Western Kentucky University and scenic Fountain Square in less than 10 minutes by car from your new home. You can also cycle there in just over 20 minutes – perfect if you want to do some cardio before class! After your lessons, walk five minutes to the nearest Kroger supermarket to stock up on ingredients for dinner. Then, make your way back to Pointe at Western.

Back at home, round up some friends for a table tennis tournament in the spacious game room, or plunge into the large outdoor pool. Cook up something to eat in the grilling area and enjoy your meal as you sit on the shaded poolside seating or grassy picnic area. After you’ve eaten, burn off the calories on the sand volleyball court!

Jump in the shower in your private bathroom and select an outfit from your spacious closet before you head out downtown. If you want to chill out at home instead, share a pizza with your housemates in the open plan kitchen and living area, or hook up with friends to watch TV in the large entertaining area.
