You’re perfectly placed to make the most of your student experience when you set up home at The Dillon. Make the 5-minute drive to Downtown Bloomington and browse the boutiques at Fountain Square Mall, then head to Baked! to custom-build your dream cookies. How about chocolate dough with butterscotch chips and toffee frosting? Afterwards, you can admire art by Picasso and Pollock at Indiana University Art Museum, or head out to B Town Flea Market to hunt for one-off treasures. For dinner, try the banana leaf tamale at Juannitas, then enjoy live music at The Bluebird.
From The Dillon, you can drive to Indiana University or Ivy Tech Community College in just six minutes; it’s 10 minutes by bike. Better still, there’s a free shuttle service that runs late into the night - check the smartphone Shuttle Tracker app for arrival times and you’ll never miss the bus.
Start your day with coffee in your sleek, fully-equipped kitchen. Grab a seat at the breakfast bar and plan your day with your roommates - you can share with up to five others, or go it alone in a one-bed apartment.
At the weekend, grab a lounger by the pool and soak up the sun. If you’re feeling energetic, work out in the fitness center or shoot some hoops on The Dillon’s basketball court, then cool off with a dip in the pool. Challenge your friends to a game of foosball or ping pong, then get together for a BBQ on the outside grill. When the sun sets, gather around the fire pit and swap stories under the stars, relax in the hot tub, or head indoors to the clubhouse, watch a movie or listen to music.
When you need some time to yourself, retreat to your private ensuite room, where you can study or use the high-speed internet to Skype home. There’s a communal study room and computer lab if you prefer to work with friends, or you could take your laptop to the comfy couch in your living area.
You won’t waste time at the laundromat because there’s a washer/dryer in every apartment, and the on-site maintenance team are on hand to give help and advice whenever you have questions.
