Your new student accommodation Loddon House makes a great base for studying during the week and exploring on weekends. Meet friends for a traditional English breakfast at Gorge Café, then soak up some culture with a visit to The Bayeux Tapestry at Reading Museum. In the evening, hit the Oakford Social Club and dance to live music by local artists, or laugh along with big name comedians while you enjoy student discount at Comedy at Milk. If you don’t feel like going far, stay close to home with a night out at the Queen’s Head, where you can sit outside in warm weather and dine on delicious Thai green curry.

You won’t have to worry about being late for class when you live at Loddon House as the University of Reading is just a 10-minute walk away. Or grab your bike from the secure storage and ride there in two minutes. On weekends, use Reading train station to catch a ride into London – it’s just half an hour away.

After a long day on campus, join friends on the quick walk home and crash out in front of the TV in your flat to unwind before the evening’s activities. When you stay in, there’s broadband in every room to keep you busy and a lounge area to chill out in. When you go out, the centre of Reading is just a 15-minute drive or a short bus journey away.
