You won’t have far to travel to get to class at De Montfort University – it’s just over five minutes away on foot. You can ride your bike for six minutes to get to the University of Leicester, or take a bus along one of the many routes that stop on nearby Oxford Street. You’ll also find it easy to explore further afield from The Hosiery Factory on weekends, as Leicester station is within a 15-minute stroll.
Head back to your shared apartment after a busy day, and walk straight to the lounge area to kick back in front of the flatscreen TV with your housemates. Your new home comes kitted out with vintage furniture like Chesterfield sofas, so you can relax in style. After a good break, walk four minutes to the local Tesco Express supermarket to pick up some supplies, and head to your kitchen to whip up a bite to eat. Put the leftovers into the fridge freezer when you’re done, then stack the pots and pans into the dishwasher – you won’t have to worry about cleaning up.
Later, you can get a head-start on your chores by loading up the washer dryer. Then, retreat to your room to work at your study desk while you wait. Your rent is all-inclusive, so you can easily connect to the internet to research for your next essay or bounce your ideas off your classmates. After your study session, you can take a quick shower in your shared bathroom, then wander 10 minutes to Highcross shopping centre to buy a new outfit for a night out. Head to Kayal for an authentic Keralan curry, or Hakamou Bar for a fruity cocktail served in a pineapple.
