Durham University is a 15-minute walk from your home on Green Lane, or you can take the bus to be there in 10 minutes if you’re in a rush to get to lectures. You’ll be well placed for exploring Durham with the city centre less than 15 minutes’ walk away. The bus stops at the end of your road if you’re in a hurry to get home from town, or carrying shopping. Walk 25 minutes’ to the train station to hop on a train for a day out in Newcastle, which is less than 15 minutes’ away by train.
When you return home at the end of a day on campus, unpack your bag and put your laptop and textbooks on the desk in your studio. There’s a range of different-sized studios to choose from meaning you can pick the right one for your budget. All have large wardrobes, under-bed storage and plenty of shelving, so you can find a place for all your belongings.
Take showers in your ensuite bathroom anytime you like and make yourself tea and toast or a full supper in the fully-fitted kitchen that comes with appliances including an oven and microwave.
