Look over your day’s schedule while you eat breakfast at Hillside. Walk 15 minutes’ to University of Brighton Moulsecoomb Campus, change your books at Aldrich Library and use the quiet space to study. If you’re taking classes at University of Sussex you can get there by bus in 20 minutes. The buses or train at Moulsecoomb will take you to Brighton city centre in around 10 minutes if you want to go out or hit the shops. There are local stores and places to pick up dinner on Lewes Road, around 20 minutes’ walk from your home.
You’ll find it easy to focus on your studies when you’re tucked away from the buzz of the city in Moulsecoomb. Unwind in your spacious bedroom, reading over lecture notes or writing essays on your laptop. Make yourself a sandwich in the kitchen when you get peckish. If you don’t fancy cooking you can always cycle over to Kebab Knight to get a burger or kebab for dinner.
Stay active in between study sessions and play a round of golf at Hollingbury Golf Course, or go on woodland walks through Wild Park. Jump in your car and explore the coastline, driving 10 minutes’ to Brighton Marina where you can warm up after a walk by the water with coffee at Laughing Dog, admiring the local art that adorns the walls. You can pick up a print to hang at home, adding a personal touch to your room, or drive a little further to Rottingdean to go rockpooling and walk by white chalk cliffs.
