You’ll be well-placed to enjoy everything Coffs Harbour has to offer. Take in the sparkling Pacific Ocean as you speed down a toboggan slope, watch kangaroos bounce by as you sunbathe on a sun-kissed beach, peruse markets for organic veggies and local art or slurp on an award-winning latte.

Start in the centre of town with a dip at Jetty Beach and walk along the iconic pier. Stroll the walkway to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve to spot migrating whales and take in views of the Solitary Islands, then come back to the mainland to splash about with dolphins or seals at Dolphin Marine Magic wildlife park. Ice skate or just hurtle down the waterslides at the Big Banana theme park, or visit Coffs Harbour’s amazing Butterfly House. Save a trip to kangaroo hotspot Emerald Beach for another day, so you can make full use of the great surf and walk the superbly named Look At Me Now Headland. Or check out the colourfully graffitied rocks at Nambucca Heads V-Wall.

Back in town, hit the shops at the Promenade or Park Beach Plaza, duck into Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, or watch the world go by in one of the cafés and restaurants on the so-called Jetty Strip – Urban Espresso Lounge and Latitude 30 Restaurant are great places to start. Cycle along the beautiful Coffs Creek Walk and Cycleway, and make it back in time for the Twilight Food Market. Bring a blanket so you can snuggle up and watch the sun go down over Park Beach Reserve as you tuck into dinner.
