Urbanest Rent Payment Guide

When do I have to pay my rent?

You’ll find this information in your tenancy agreement, which you will have received and signed when you made the booking. The deadline for the first instalment of rent also depends on the date the booking was made, but will be mentioned in the contract. Alternatively, you can find the details of your payment plan by logging into your account on the landlord portal here.

You can see the payment dates in the portal.

How much is the rent?

This depends on what room you booked. You can find the price in the booking confirmation email you’ve received from Student.com, as well as from your tenancy agreement, and also in the landlord portal. While you were making the booking, the price of the room was probably listed either per week (ppw) or per month (pcm). Usually the rent payment amounts are different though, as you’ll typically pay in three or four yearly instalments rather than once a week or month.

The amount you have to pay in each instalment can be seen in the portal.

What is a booking fee?

You may have had to pay a booking fee to secure the room for you while booking the room. If you have paid it, this can be deducted from the first rent payment.

How should I pay the rent?

The rent can be paid by bank transfer or with a card payment.

You can find the bank details of your landlord in your tenancy agreement or the landlord portal. The rent is paid directly to the landlord, and you don’t have to pay anything to Student.com.
