This laneway is filled with street art, much of it counterculture and political by nature. Easy to get to, it is a two-minute walk from Flinders Street Station. After snapping some pictures of the ever-changing graffiti art, you can study in one of the nearby cafes or go across the street to Federation Square, a large event centre. 

The Views – Eureka Skydeck

Eureka Skydeck is the highest public observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere that offers a 360-degree vantage point. From here you can see much of Melbourne, including the Docklands, Central Business District, and the sports precinct. Located on Skydeck 88 is The Edge, a glass cube that shoots out from the building over 3 metres. Go at sunset for a breathtaking view (and possibly even see your house from there!). 

The Gardens – Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria

Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens are 94-acres long with nearly 50,000 plants and 8,500 species present – a true natural splendour. The gardens are also home to two restaurants – including High tea, a guided Aboriginal Heritage Walk, a running track, and punting on the lake. Make sure you arrive with enough time to fully explore these gardens.
