Top Restaurants in Sydney – Student.com City Guide

Chin Chin

Chin Chin Sydney is quoted as an overload for the senses, Chin Chin is Quintessentially Australian with a South East Asian Injection. So expect the unexpected with this culinary find. And if the food wasn’t enough, the space is Instagram-able with touches of silver, warehouse vibes and bright neon colours. This place is not to be missed in the Surry Hills restaurants collective.

RaRa Redfern

First things first, you have to be prepared to wait a little for this gastro treat that Sydney has to offer. Working on a waiting system, you may be in a short queue but it’s 100% worth the wait. Whatever the weather, you will want to try all of the awesome ramen dishes on offer.

Lentil As Anything

The place to go if you are looking to indulge in as much vegetarian food as you can, whilst taking in awesome art from local artists. Think quirky and eclectic, this place is certainly no run of the mill place to grab a bite to eat. There is a daily changing menu based on seasonal produce, plus a whole agenda of dinner events – so you will never get bored.

Love.Fish

As far as Barangaroo restaurants go, Love.Fish is a mecca for those who – not surprisingly by the name – love seafood. Think fresh, colourful dishes served in a sumptuous environment right on the waterfront, the setting couldn’t be more perfect. Started by Michelle and Michael, this power duo certainly has our vote when deciding on somewhere to head for a special celebration in Sydney.

New Shanghai

You may have 99 problems but your bao won’t be one of them if you head here. Legendary for the electric vibes, with the hustle and bustle as diners pile into the venue looking to get a slice of Shanghai style food, this place is more than just a taste sensation. Reasonably priced for quality food, you can get the Xiao Long Bao at $9.90, a bargain if you ask us!
