OvulationOvulation is the beginning of the female cycle, because ovulation is not so easy to detect as the start of our period, we use the first day of our period to count from, thus giving the impression that our period is the start of our cycle. Ovulation is hard to predict as so many things can change the environment that is needed for ovulation to occur. Things like stress, weight, diet, medications, fitness and workout sessions, all have an impact on our body and its ability to function correctly. Ovulation can be detected by a few females, they might have a short sharp pain in the abdomen or spotting mid cycle, a half a degree raise in temperature for a few hours, all are signs of ovulation. But how can you detect when you ovulate if you are trying to become pregnant? There are a few ways to do this, and the most common and easiest way is the calendar method. Ovulation always occurs 14 days before your next menstrual period starts. To detect ovulation by this method, you need to keep track of your periods, every girl should do this anyway, as an irregular period as an adult or missed period is a sign of pregnancy or something else wrong, like Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) Once you have recorded your menstrual period start days for 3-5 month, you'll have an idea of the length of your cycle, (for most women it's 28 days. All you do is look at when your next period is due and count back 14 days, that's the date you should ovulate. I have included a program that does all this for you, all you need to do is download it and install it on your pc, and every month, add the first day of your period to the program, the program is freeware and has no adware, spyware or anything else attached to it. It is yours to keep and use for as long as you want. What does the program do?It tracks your first day of your period, then your cycle length, then works out the best days to have sex if you are trying for a baby, it then tells you the day you should ovulate and it also tells you the date of your next period. They can be messy if you have to do them every day for a few days. For more information on sexual health visit http://www.asksam2.com © 2000-2006. The Student Center, Inc All Rights Reserved.
