Sexual lubricationLube comes in all manner of types, you can get water based lube, silicon based lube, oil based lube, but what is the best lube for you? Well that really depends on a lot of things, like what you are going to use it for, how you react to them, what sexual acts and items you'll be using with the lube. Water based lubeWater based lube is very user friendly, in that they do not harm latex so do not damage condoms, femidoms, diaphragms, or vaginal rings. They also contain nothing that can cause irritation and clean up is easy. The down side with water based lube is that it dries out quickly and has to be reapplied often, safe for vaginal and anal sex. Water based lube containing glycerine. Some water based lubes contain glycerine this helps with the snippiness and improves the time it lasts for but not by very much, still needs to be applied often, they are also easy to clean up after, but they coat the vagina inside and it takes time for the vagina to dispel the coating, which can lead to a yeast infection if used often because your vagina will not be self regulating while it is coated with glycerine. Also safe to use with condoms, femidoms, diaphragms, or vaginal rings, and for anal sex. Oil based lubeOil based lubes have but one use, and that's for male masturbation. Oil based lube breaks down latex so will damage condoms, femidoms, diaphragms, or vaginal rings. They also coat the vagina and anus with oil, making it very difficult for the vagina to clean its self, this leaves you open to infections for longer periods of time. It can take the vagina 3-5 days to beak down and dispel oil. Oil based lubes are not recommended for any form of sex. Silicone based lubesSilicone based lubes are the new guy on the block they are safe to use with condoms, femidoms, diaphragms, or vaginal rings. But not with sex toys made of silicone, they break down silicone so put a condom on the toy if it is a silicone toy. Great to use in the shower for sex as they repel water, but that also means they are harder to clean up after use. This lube lasts the longest and I have found, even when they have dried out they are still slippy and I feel silky smooth, in fact I rub some on after I shave because it leaves me feeling like silk and helps to combat irritation from shaving down below. Always read the label when you buy a lube so you know 100% for sure, what you are getting and putting inside you, remember the mouth, vagina and anus absorb into your body anything placed in them if they can.
