I am DEATHLY afraid of the dark... I have always been scared of the dark but when I got older it didnt go away... but as I got older it worsened and I literally pass out if I am in the dark for more than five minutes... I know it sounds like I am a baby but my doctor said they were " night terrors" because I see things in the dark that arent there.
