Who are you? I don't mean your name. I mean : What do you stand for? What is your purpose? Why are YOU here? Are you making a difference? Why? Who ARE YOU?
(6 answers)
boxocereal
: I don't know.
NAAbsurd
: I am one of the few "nihilistic-absurdist" chameleons peppered amongst the masses. We understand your religions and philosophies, in fact we have studied them all. We have only found one "truth": That there is no "truth", or at least no one will find it and realize it while he/she is alive. As far as we know, there is nothing after death, however the only thing we know for sure, is that we do not know anything for sure. We constantly get into discussions with you over life/death and meaning/purpose, and we counter all your claims, yet make none for ourselves. In the end, all our efforts will be in vain, and we know it too. We accept that we have no meaning or purpose and no reason for being here. Again, if we were to make a difference, in the end, it would not matter. Because "in the end, everything we do, is just everything we've done". All in all, I am still not important.
heartonawire

CantShutMeUp
: yea they are still there
windycitylover
: It's WRONG!
Liam87
: I should say, restore Iraq to its former glory*. As bad as Saddam was, I don't think his nation was exactly going down the crapper. And there have been a lot worse dictators in the past. Stalin for instance killed 20 million of his own people and was an ally during WW2.
Liam87
: Well first off the *Coalition* is still in Iraq (which includes the UK and in smaller quantities Australia, Italy, etc) and it is wrong for the Coalition to be there in Iraq but they may as well try to fix it up while they're there. I mean reconstruction, not necessarily sweeping cultural reforms.
ilovemuzac
: wrong b/c its none of our business why cant we just freaking sit out for one game? we're like in every war and thats not good. we have to pay to help ppl that we arent ever gonna see or know, but i still love america i dont care how corrupt it is cuz dude im doin alright

Is democracy for everyone???
(16 answers)
boxocereal
: No.
cre8tive
: yush
-gex-
: democrazy is for the feeble minded, Imperialism is the way to go
ricewyne
: nope not for everyone
short_stuff08
: no
Kfruity182
: some what
skycat
: idk
CantShutMeUp
: i dont know
Liam87
: There are many different types of democracy. And with enough education people can believe anything. So in theory the power for the masses to decide their own governing fate is for everyone. Even if "unbelievers" so to speak think its wrong, they'd get used to it. That's not to say a nation should have it shoved down their throat and forced to swallow. Its kinda self-contradictory to dictate to a people that they should have a system of government where they can decide things for themselves. You can't democratise the world. The world will democratise itself.
TryingMyLuck
: the world wouldn't be the way it is now if every country was governed under democracy. maybe it'd be better. maybe it'd be worse. i can't quite say.
tomtyke
: it's not for dictators thats for sure
khang
: Nopes
deliberate
: nope.
zakaria-qa
: depends on the definition. some poeple think that democracy is to have power over the weak...kill to free
Eddini

Can a relationship be viewed as a lesson?
(19 answers)
boxocereal
: Yes.
THE_GREAT_JMZ
: yes pros and cons
Ocelot87
: Of course! If anything, a relationship can teach you a lot about yourself and how you respond to your other half's wants, needs, and desires. You really get to find out what kind of person you are.
ricewyne
: yup
Kfruity182
: yes always
kellcah16
: yup
MyKool-AidsSexy
: hell yeah

: Your whole life is one long lesson but no one ever set an exam for it.
TryingMyLuck
: yes, everything that deals with romance can teach you a lesson.
Eddini
: Anything including relationships you can learn from so yes.
m2m56
: of course a relationship can be viewed as a lesson! i learn something new from my girlfriend everyday! even life in general is a lesson!
lemonsong420
: yes, because even if it ends up not working out, the relationship still teaches you about life and about yourself.
aznchiq
: yes, cause u learn from it
browneyepinay
: yes
Joe_Homeowner
: Most definitely. [I answered your ?'s, now answer mine, please.]
sexy13aby2o04
: yes, i learned one, not to date a guy just because he's fine, b/c most fine guys are ass holes, its about the personality and whats on the inside, not out!
Sakuya167
: Yes, that's about all I got out of my last one.
What does the word religion mean to you? And why? Is it what you were told? explain!!! SMILE
(14 answers)
boxocereal
: Nothing.
Ocelot87
: A religion is a set of beliefs and a way of life that people can choose to adopt. At one extreme, a religion is a moral and ethical code that a person may uphold at all costs and may feel it right to preach to others of the righteousness of their particular way of life. On the opposite end of the spectrum however, a religion may be used as a basic code of conduct by which someone chooses to live their life by.
Kfruity182
: it means something a group of people follow
CantShutMeUp
: religiogn is a pretty strong word to me but it wasnt 3 years ago
Liam87
: Religions are a system of beliefs that you use to live your life in a certain way. It usually involves a belief in a higher power. I personally believe most mainstream religions are humankind's way of trying to make life easier and also trying to cope with a crippling fear of death. It would seem this way because a lot of religions promise a reward after you DIE if you follow the RULES to be nice to one another in your life. That's just my theory anyway but that may be because I'm an atheist.
deliberate
: belief in a higher being. yes, because i was told. and why, because people need to believe in order to live through hard times.
zakaria-qa
: a way to organize your life and adds to your relationship with the Creator
Eddini
: It is your type of faith. I'm a Catholic for example.
braddles
: Blind faith does the trick of getting you into heaven... but it is a little lame... but me? I've met God. I have the permanent stoner insight: God loves me!!! Hurrah!! Whoop whoop! I've been unplugged from the matrix! if i need something, all i have to do is ask and i'll get it, kind of like Neo asking for stuff over cellphone, but i don't need a phone. Yay! Yay yay!! Oh I am on such a christian buzz. I am ecstatic. Wow.
aznchiq
: religion means something to believe me..and no it wasnt told to me
Joe_Homeowner
: Religion is a toughie.
browneyepinay
: its not just what i waz told. religion means a lot to me. i think that it keeps me personaly, grounded. it makes me feel more balanced.
freaky_flying_vegetable
: I personally thing that religion is just one big cult. But Buddhism (spelling???) sounds super interesting. I pretty much am obligated to Mr. Charles Darwin. Survival of the fittest and evolution all the way.
If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there to hear it, did it still make a sound? How can you be sure...???
(11 answers)
boxocereal
: Yes.
THE_GREAT_JMZ
: yea everything makes a sound when it falls
sexypinkshadows
: it made a sound because i say it did :P
Kfruity182
: yes it did.
Toaorp
: isn't sound only really sound when the waves are intercepted or "heard"?
Liam87
: I love pythonlove's answer. And the science geek's below me too. I would've said something like that.
deliberate
: when something falls, it's an elastic collision. elastic collisions lose energy; half the time, that energy is changed from kinetic to sound energy. so yes, it will make a sound, by laws of physics.
Eddini
: Yes by the law of nature whether anyone is around it WILL make a sound.
pythonlove_19_17
: that's like asking if a MAN speaks in the forest and there's no woman around to hear him is he still worng? the anwer of course. never doubt the power of a tape recorded.
nooneknowsme0000
: yes, I bet the bunnies heard it fall
How can you really ever prove you love someone? (I love everyone!)
(9 answers)
boxocereal
: Yes.
THE_GREAT_JMZ
: idk
Kfruity182
: You just know you do.
Liam87
: Loving someone is finding something that they really enjoy but you really hate and doing/going with them to/etc it.
tomtyke
: the woman keeps giving head after you are married... they dont mind bobbing for diamonds before you are wed, but then its at the altar and "I do... not give head anymore" (either that or not being able to live without that person in your life)
Eddini
: To lay down you life for someone is the greatest act of love as the bible says...not that you should go looking for oppurtunities to do so. Just treat them right.
sexy13aby2o04
: when that ring gets put on the girls finger
pythonlove_19_17
: i don't know if it can be proven. but it can be tested. my fiance knows, one of his ex's wanted to get back together he said no that he was engaged and he wasn't leaving me for her. i thought that was nice.
englishdaisy
: It's not something that needs proving.
How can guys judge a girl by weight? They change sizes not personality!!!
(22 answers)
boxocereal
: I don't know.
Angel2Devil2Friend
: Ha ha ha. I like that.
THE_GREAT_JMZ
: i dont, i go for personality and nothing else
ricewyne
: i ono guys are too much about physical i guess
prettypoet_07
: guys are losers
Kfruity182
: i dont know...
Liam87
: Oh so all of a sudden its only guys who are shallow? I bet it'd take me ten mintues to find a dozen shallow girls on this website. And I don't think that guys judge girls by their weight. They may find it a turn-off however. You can't force youself into a relationship with someone if you don't find them attractive.
deliberate
: society's standards.
Eddini
: Don't know.....lol.
Joe_Homeowner
: Because a lot of people are naturally superficial. [I answered your ?'s, now answer mine, please.]
aikeo_n
: Some girls judge guys by there weight also..
barrufa
: because boys are stupid, they can not see where intelligence is, for example !!!
reeree143
: They have now other way of proving that they are not worth it than by showing that they can't handle more to love!!! (take it from a big girl!!!)
shortpunk13
: some guys are just stupid that way....i went out with a 150 lbs., 5'0 girl and im proud of it... and im not exactlly fat either
lilyfox
: because they're are (not all guys, but a lot of 'em) shallow, close-minded jerks
midnight_moonlight21
: i have no idea. i'm i guess on the big side and it pisses me off that the guys i know always judge girls by wieght and bra size.
angelsweethart5791
: I've noticed that to.......sumtimes guyz can be shallow jerks.......but not all are like that......NO OFFENCE GUYZ!!!!!
xCaitX
: ask a guy
crazy_she_wolf
: good point,im gona tag u
