The reason being is that if you cut your wrist it takes awile for you to bleed out. See, your Soul already knows everything. It wants to experience, so through a series of lives you experience different situations and your feelings in them. You just have to pick up on the signs and do something. I also don't think suicide is a selfish act. It may seem that way to the outside world, but to someone who's actually suicidal (at least in my experience), it's doing everyone around him/her a favor. Suicidal people often feel like they're burdens to those around them, and by killing themselves, they let everyone else off the hook.
