But now that we have an intuitive, simple, largely coherent theory of evolution, the motivation for positing some God-entity on this basis alone has long since past. So yeah, evolution all the way.

What they need is someone, whether it be parents or someone else in their life because not everyone has parents that will take the time to teach (hence the nanny censorship), just what's appropriate in what sort of circumstance and more importantly, why. What difference does it make if a kid hears some yell F***? It doesn't make any difference at all! It won't corrupt the child or cause a depraved civilization or anything like that. It'll just make them curious. What's the harm in that?

	Elcisitiak: It depends on what they're censoring. I don't think media should be broadcasting the location of our troops or whatnot because anyone can see that, not just the good guys. If it's just language or body parts, that's ridiculous for a couple reason. First, language has only the meaning assigned to it by humans, therefore how can it be intrinsically offensive? Second, sex is a natural act and there's no reason to skirt around it like it doesn't exist, because all that does is turn it into the proverbial forbidden fruit. My biggest question about censorship is why is sex so much worse than violence? It's stupid. I've grown up in a household where people regularly walked around naked and talked about whatever they wanted to even when I was little, and I was allowed to say or ask anything I wanted, and I'm perfectly fine now as far as that goes. Another sort of censorship is that of hate speech and such, and I think that should indeed be censored because that's one area in which children and, in fact, the general population are going to be impressionable and if they're hearing all this crap about how such-and-such group are this and do that, well, a lot of people have a hard time differing fact from fiction anyway, much less when it's being shoved down their throats as incontrovertiable fact. So in a nutshell, I'm for certain kinds of censorship.

	SBG_Writer9289: It's a little biased and over dramatic but it is important because kids a lot younger than 13 yrs of age have access to all kinds of things on the internet and on television. I have a ten yr old cousin who shouts "**** you!" to elderly people as they walk by and hoots at women whenever they walk by or bend over. It's ridiculous. But parents also play a role in what is appropriate for children and teens these days, mostly children.

	rising_tide: even though I am morally opposed to them, abortion should absolutely be legal in the first trimester. This is chiefly because I don't believe people should tell me what to do with my own body, and also because I believe it is, at times, the lesser of two evils.

	confuzzled24-7: so my mom was raped, but that doesn't mean that she should have had an abortion because she wasn't prepared to have a child!!! a life is a life, even if it wasn't conceved on purpose. There is no way that I could ever look at a kid and think that they would have been better off if their mom would have killed them before they were born. And one of my goals in life is to be able to be at a place where if i do meet a child like that I can adopt them and give them a family that will love them uncondictionaly.

Who are you to say who'll have a poor quality of life? Again, it's a personal choice but if you just do it to have a normal kid, that's messed up. One of the happiest people I know has CP and can't really do much of anything herself but she's always smiling and laughing and cracking jokes (nonverbal ones). Also, if abortion is outlawed, how many women and girls will die through botched home abortions? Too many. One is too many. Why should we force people to bring children who will be unwanted and unloved into this world when there are so many children in foster care and up for adoption? The only time I think there should even be the possibility of legal interference is if the baby's old enough to survive on its own outside of the womb, so no abortions a week before term or anything.

Illegality of abortion would let extremist feel more justified in their crimes and would make more unwilling pregnant people do back alley abortions. Also, taking away the option of abortion is intruding on a woman's right. Until we can find a way to take a kid and save it out of womb, no one has any right to say what a woman should carry inside her.
