Then, go take a beginner's motorcycle training class for streetbikes. They'll even administer the tests, so all you have to do is go to the local DMV, show them your certificate, and have them make you a new license, with a motorcycle endorsement. You'll be fully legal to ride on the street. Then, save up, and just get a dual purpose bike. If your brother participates in motocross, you don't want to start off riding his bike. It's most likely a 2-stroke, which burns too much gas, and has a short powerband, all at the top revs. Your best bet is saving some cash, and buying a dual-purpose (aka dual sport, which is one of those dirt bikes with turn signals, and all the street legal gear), or an enduro bike (Honda XR's are the most reliable in this category). The 4-stroke motor will be more efficient, pollute far less, and have a wide powerband, with tons of torque at the low revs (exactly where you want them if you're just starting to ride).  sum182gurl: ok- damn thing... didn't fucking let me finish! lol You guys may be a little clueless.. ok- see i want to ride.. i've wanted to for THREE fuckin years! my rents *parents*say no because i am a girl and its a *guys* sport.. i think thats completely crAzY and unfair!
