	Bored_2day: I think the problem is multifaceted, first there's the naural inclintation of people to indulge in recreational drugs, second there's a large cultural support for it (maybe not the heavy illegal drugs like cocaine), thirdly there's a lot more urbanized areas in America as opposed to Canada which routinely have larger demographics of drug peddling, fourthly we have the money to buy the drugs, fifthly there is less parental supervision and quality of upbringing than in previous generations due to a more uneducated and untrained populace and dilution of schools, sixthly the kids come from richer backgrounds than Canada or Europe so they don't have so much on the line ala pressure to ake sure they don't eff themselves up, that or they're poor and are too retarded and unmotivated to perform in school so they drop out and inevitably get involved in street life etc. etc. I mean there are a lot of reasons, I don't find restrictions being a major one - I think a significant indention in the problem would be to DRASTICALLY improve our education system.

Public schools though in my opnion should not teach religion. From my personal experiance in both private and public schools. Public ones tend to have a much broader tapestry of relgious beliefs so making children learn one which isnt part of thier belief structure i dont agree with. There was one woman who was actually sleeping with this underage teenage boy, although he says it was consentual, they still had to consider it as rape because he was a minor and she was in her thirties or forties, or something like that. Also I'm a rape survior. I'm not saying all rapes happen when a person drunk but look what happen when people drink. I mean come look people who raped and beat kids.

Since they said pretty much everything I was going to. The only other additions I can make is as far as how to teach it. Space it out. Start in 6th grade and add on to it a little each year explain to both sexes what's going on with the other and make sure they understand what's going on. Still keeping adstinence a main focus until about 9 or 10th grade. Then start talking in depth about safe sex practices by then they should be mature enough to handle it and take responsibility for it. I could go on but I'll stop here. 	Beautiful_Disaster_: I believe that kids should also be taught more then just abstinence they should be taught about sexuality and other stuff to provent vilonce and teens who are being abused by there partners it would cause less problems. Teachers need to be more friendly with the students and let them know that they are there for them so they can feel comfortable talking about there problems. Also they should bring in real teens who have babys and or have diseases and show them that this is real and it can happen to them. I think kids would understand more.

	whybother: wait wait wait. back up. however exactly did u teach him...did u use a simulator or what.....but if u just like showed him with ur hands and not actually showing him how u put it into urself. then nothing wrong with that....my bf knows how to put on pads and he has put it one sometimes for me at least 3 times before when i rushing to get out of the house and he was helping me multitask. if he's comfortable with that it saves me from having to do it and i have no problem with it whatsoever

	whybother: yeah, both on home phone and on cellphone... i have done it with my bf and we were in the middle of an important convo. and another time i was in the bathroom at university and my cell rang so i answered. of course i use antibacterial wipes when i'm done using in those situations.with the home phone i only do it with persons i know really well. actually no...i've only done it with my bf, my mom and my dad. and my brother and his family. lol. hey if they call me better be willing to put it with it. i generally dont flush thought i'll go back and flush later...or i'll tell them hold on...put the phone down far away... flush then wash my hands then wipe down the phone. then say yeah i'm back
