View Q & A Top 50  Are the current education systems failing our children or is it the parents, both? (14 answers)  gaby2009: education is different in every area, some schools better than others.  Paintball_Lover: It's both.  springbreaker: hey, who do you think designed the current education system? your parents and your grandparents :) lol  djhowty: it's definitely both. public schools lack sufficient funds and usually have tenure for teachers, which gives time served precedence over ability to teach, but parents are needed to help motivate and support children, if not also help them learn.  kelsoca: as a rule, I think schools only do as well as the resources which they are given by the state. and if they are not given enough resources, it shouldn't be a surprise that the system isn't producing the results that we'd all like to see.  GhostJason: Both definitely. Human error really,.. parents and teachers are not machines... and machines that we learn from are incredibly boring no matter how they try to play it... but we don't want to become machines either, there's no life in it. ... I don't know if this really answers your question. I just think it's all in how you see yourself as a success or a failure. ... Don't mind me, I've been listening to Mmm Mmm Mmm (Crash Test Dummies) too much lately. ... but I love being human. :-)  JRSmurfNDice: parents propagated the downward spiral by simply not being ready to have children. the dumbing down and pandering of the school system i think is a direct result. vicious little cycle  april922: both  lithium: I think its both really parents are becoming younger and ya never know...some teachers didnt care that I was even stoned during school im very glad I took classes and quit and straightened my **** out, its a great feeling...just say a lot of parents dont know what there doing at all at such a young age and that is also because they werent taught and its to do with drugs and alchol im glad that I dont do any drugs no more it was a bad habit.
