Very soon, Student.com will have a new homepage. I just wanted to prepare people for the change. I want to assure everybody that we aren't taking anything down from the site. We're just increasing what we offer.

We are creating a "mini-site," or a "site within a site" that is going to be dedicated exclusively to student resources. Student.com is a social networking site and will remain a social networking site where college students, high school students, and teens meet each other and hang out. But because Student.com is one of the best domain names in the world, we get many visitors to our site who just type-in the word "student" on their browser, looking for such information as student loans, credit cards for students, online education, distance learning, and student travel, for example. And until now, we haven't done a very good job servicing the needs of the segment of our users who are looking exclusively for student resources and student services as opposed to a social community for students.

So the new front page will put a big focus on student resources and student services. It will still have the gateway that you are used to for all the parts of our site that we already have. We aren't deleting any parts of our site. We just want to be able to better serve the needs and desires of people who visit us.

And even for our hardcore social networkers, all students need to use these resources from time to time. I hope that you will find them to be a good addition to the site.
