We said that we wanted to introduce our users to a number of different blogs that we plan to have in our student.com blogs section. Today, I just wanted to introduce everybody to our blog that is specifically for the GLBTQ student community on our site. We've named the blog "The Community." It's a GLBTQ student blog where the queers be bitchin'. You can find it here.

From Student.com's beginning, way back in the 90's, our site has always had a vibrant gay, lesbian, bisexual community. I'm almost positive that our site was the first student oriented community that featured a discussion forum specifically for the gay/les/bi community. That forum is here and we encourage you to visit it and participate. From day one, that forum has always been a very lively place with a great group of people in it. We wanted to extend what we provide for our gay/les/bi users, so we decided to set up a blog specifically for the GLBTQ student community. We urge our regulars from the gay/les/bi forum to write for the blog and we hope that new users will want to write for it and read it as well. I'd love to take our GLBTQ student community here and bring it to the next level.
