start your college career with an online college course. You pick the time and
the place for class. Course materials are available 24 hours a day, seven days
a week.
Iowa State University has introductory college courses on
the Internet. View lecture notes and images while listening to lectures on the
Internet. Tests, homework, and interaction with instructors and other students
are all online.
The
credit is the same as that earned by an Iowa State student on campus. When you
go to college at Iowa State or elsewhere, your academic advisor will determine
how many of your Iowa State credits fit in your specific degree program.
Credits earned appear on your ISU transcript.
Most
courses have specific dates when assignments and tests are due. The beginning
and ending dates of the courses coincide with ISU semesters.
Online
courses take advantage of the speed, storage capacity, and interactivity of the
Internet. Taking a course online gives you a world of information at your fingertips.
Links to sites that further illustrate ideas discussed in the course can make
independent study online a valuable learning experience.
